My girlfriend got sick with during the last week of our trip. She missed Steve Lawler & Cassius at Space but I partied extra hard for the both of us.
I find that I don´t get as sick as before when visiting Ibiza. What works for me: not partying every night, working out, staying hydrated, eating good food, sleeping + naps, and taking vitamin C & zinc supplements with me.

Just had a mild dose of the latest covid strain, the one that attacks the throat and not much else. All gone now thankfully; probably happened as it was just after a case of infected conjunctivitis when my body's defences were otherwise engaged!
Got my flu and covid jabs booked in when I return from Ibiza.

Was it like tonsils / throat a bit inflamed so rubbish to swallow but only lasted 24 hrs?

Near enough, 24 - 48 hrs but I'm probably a bit older than you! Felt slightly weaker than normal but was recovering from that other infection. Matey across the way had a dose on his (UK) holiday and had to come home - there's/was deffo something going round.Was it like tonsils / throat a bit inflamed so rubbish to swallow but only lasted 24 hrs?
Cause I just had that randomly
I expect a lot of teachers might get this and think their gravelly voice is simply the new term!!!

Yeah it made sleeping proper difficult for sure.
I took l-lysine and NAC which seemed to have helped. Perhaps.
Btw you must be proper old then
One of the shots girls got chatting to us, (no thanks, I'll keep my 12e, but good try!) and turns out she was 24, and I'm like twice your age, you could be my daughter
, other mate (younger than me) was like "stop trying to charm us with your womanly ways
