.... a veritible Winter Wonderland when I opened the blinds.......

I love snow I do..... Hope its still there at lunchtime when I go home to walk Benson....:?

You should come out here. It's been snowing every couple days for a week and a half. I'm sick of the stuff. Plus. the salt they put on the roads and sidewalks is ruining my shoes. Dammit.

The only times I like now are a) when skiing or b) when looking out the window at night an everything looks calm and peaceful. As soon as daylight breaks and I have to go outside, I'd prefer to be rid of the stuff!

Oh dont make me jealous - we never get "proper" snow - due to living pretty near the coast and the air is just too salty..... It looks wonderful for a few hours and then its just grey wet slush.... yuck!!

no snow here, just a lovely layer of frost .

the birds are having a brilliant time at the feeders in the garden.

its great

it`s really nice here ...... it`s white but there is no snow ... hoar frost (???) ..... and the sun is shining

I don`t must work today, so I will go to my mum ..... take the dog and make a long walk with her :) (with the dog, not with my mum )

That's is what I would like to do today..... walk the dog through the Dene, come up, have a big mug of steaming hot tea and snuggle up with a book in front of my fire afterwards... bliss!!

No snow where I am just a bit of ice and slush, but we keep hearing there will be 6 inches tonight, everyone is already thinking of reasons they cant get to work

It was lovely this morning walking the doggies thru a white untouched park with nobody else around :D

I got some gorgeous photos from a sunrise over the pristine, untuched snow..... really lovely...... Benson gets a sore nose (it swells) in the snow because he just has to stick in sneck into every single footprint he sees - this lunchtime is going to be a right laugh when I have to walk him...:spank:

Back in Washington, DC where I grew up, 2 inches of snow was enough to shut down the whole metropolitan area. You'd hear announcements of government employees all being on "flexible arrival" schedules and schools would shut down or open late as everyone rode busses to school.

After I lived in Boston for a while and moved back to DC, I found it all laughable. Living up north, I realized that some people actually CAN drive in snow. It's just that people in DC have no idea how!

Yeah that is true, I just turned round and said to them well I can see me being able to get here and I prob live the furthest! They will be out gritting the roads tonight anyway!

Mate, we get a dusting down here and it all goes off!!!

a month or so ago we got about 1 inch and it was utter chaos, they are predicting 4ins tonight, if that happesns it will be complete meltdown!!!

I am back now ..... my brother is on a business trip so his Jack-Russel "Bo" was at the home from my mother too ....... so I have done a walk with two dogs ..... :) .... it was very nice, but it`s so boring to walk with a male dog .... he stops every 3 meters ..... to walk with our princess is more funny

I think I should sleeping on the sofa now for one hour ...... tomorrow I will be back in the office :(

of course!!! 8)
After living out here for a while, I've realized that not only can some people drive in snow - some people can pilot a 25-year-old rear-wheel drive Zhiguli with bald tires at speeds of 120kph on a snow-and-ice-covered poor excuse for a highway!
(reference a harrowing 4 hour ride from Karaganda to Astana!)
