How much

do you spend on a wedding gift?

Whats the etiquette for colleagues/friends close & distant/family :?:

We have two categories:
the people we like and we are looking forward the wedding: 200€ (100€/each of us)
The people we don't care at all and we hope to skip the wedding: 150€

I go on the theory that if you go to the wedding and reception, it's probably costing £100 per head minimum for the happy couple to have you there anyway, so £200 if two of you are there.

Close family - as much as you can afford, but a thoughtful gift means as much if things are tight or if they really don't need money.

Ficking Argos, I ask you

 Shame on me having to go there, they'll be offering me a loyalty card

wear a hat and pull it as far down your face as you can

I'll go now it'll be full of dossers & mommies, at least I won't get recognised :?

Mission accomplished, highly inconspicuous in Pacha cap & army print jacket :?

Argos even do a "Wedding" card to embellish the voucher :P

Whilst queueing I was people watching...There was a stereo-typical butch gay couple in there, short back n sides with gold hoop earings.
Was hard to tell them apart 8O , well one was obviously the "mother" of the two. Wonder if they're going to book up for matrimony in Spain :?:

I think I need to use the net less. The link between this post, Rodber and Nitefly's Spanish gay wedding and I-G's (upset) posts passim about wedding gifts/attendance was pretty much instantaneous!
