I'm only going on what we spent last summer so IMO it's true. Plus this lass is single, they'll all be down blue rose or santa cova a few of the nights, that don't come cheap mate 8)

Fair point, but this is fresh in my head which is why I spoke up, seeing as we got back 2 days ago from a 2 week trip:
- we usually had light lunches (except on about 5 occasions where we ate at decent restaurants) but we ate dinners at several of the better restaurants on the island
- The missus paid for a sunbed and umbrella every day and I joined her about half the time
- We bought a bunch of new clothes as our luggage was missing for 5 days (ok, my clothes were cheap but not hers )
- We went to parties nights & days at Pacha, Space, Privilege, DC10, El Divino, Underground, Diva and Prestige (ok, Diva entrance was free) on 14 occasions for me and about 9 for her, with probably on average 1-2 drinks an hour each
- kept a kitchen stocked with Aquarius, water, beer, olives, fruit and snacks,
- usually went for drinks somewhere before going to the club...

We didn't ration our cash, either... I had a budget number in my head at the start but whenever the cash ran out, I just pulled more from the machine and we kept on going. Paid for meals and clothes on the debit card whenever possible.

Total spend: 3970 Euros for 14 days. Or about 140 euros/day/person, on average. That's slightly less than 100 pounds.

We had a rental car for around 24 euros/day additional, so add on money for transport if you're not renting.

Yes, you can definitely do it far far cheaper.

You just have to box clever. We spent a lot of money, but we were buying the most expensive thing on the island most nights & drinking in base & rock bar (6 quid a beer) all the time.

loads of places with cheaper beers to warm up in for instance. we were a bit excited & a bit naive i think. probably an ibiza town reps dream.

With hindsight, we would not do that again. we all earn around average wages, some a bit above, some a bit below & spunking away a grand in a week is to be avoided for the future.

I done 2 weeks with £900 one year so it can easily be done but I learned that it's better to have just a bit extra incase of emergencies.

It's one of the questions without a definitive answer.

When I read posts where people are quoted as spending £250 in a week I cannot quite believe it

Last September we (wifey & I) went for a long weekend Fri / Sat / Sun night home first thing Monday and spent in excess of £800 (1200 euros).

Just hammer the credit card and pick up the pieces later

My theory. Except mine is more my overdraft.
I will be poor when I return but who cares I will worry about it then

always brought between £850 - £1000 for one week and am always strugglin by the last couple of days ! thats 5 proper nites of clubbin along wif taxis and fed twice a day !
this year i intend to bring about £1500 for the week and it will be worth every penny
