HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN 'CLUBBING' FOR?

Seriously though....similar timeline to Barbie actually - first went to either Bakers or Moneypennies (can't remember which) at the age of 16 - did a lot of Birmingham clubs, then lived the Liverpool Cream era at university 95-98 and been in London ever since.....and am now 27.

having said that though don't go out regularly at all nowadays....but when in Ibiza needs must and all that....

;)

I've been clubbing since I was 18 but serious and full time was when I was 23 and for three years. I was bored of it and now doing sometimes, usually for main events like Sonar or random unexpected nights.

I've been 'full time' for about 2.5 years too. At times i feel as though should stop, but only 24 and really enjoy it!

I don't do 'it' every weekend anyway, about 1 per month....its the excessive week in ibiza that takes it toll when come home!

10 years and sick of it to be honest, 27 now. Time to leave it to the younger folks as its getting really boring, done that, have the t-shirt etc etc Except in Ibiza!

I once did 3 nights on the trot - but a 12 year session sounds a little bit too tiring for me!

;)

*bolts for the door*

thats nothing mate, did 42 nights on the trot,i was in ibiza

7 years, not gonna give up either as it is not taking its toll on me. i have never needed drugs to have a good night out so that is probably why i am still gorgeous!!!! ;)

2 and a half years - enthusiam for it is starting to wear off slightly - but then it's only my first time to ibiza this summer!!! ;)

Can I ask why alot of you folk have had long breaks? Buckley, that was one long stint away from it..what happened?

Aaron, that rezurection night. Were they quite hardcore? Remember a old hotel where I live being used for them in the early 90's

Rezerection was mainly hardcore as it was big back in the days. It started of in Newcastle and moved to once every month (or two months sometimes) all night partys at Ingilston outside Edinburgh. Music was Happy Hardcore to Hardcore to Gabber. Tom Wilson used to play there on his old Steppin' Out show. Other DJs were like Base Generator, Technotrance, Paul Elstak & Lenny Dee etc. Used to love going back in the days.

Will be my 10 year anniversary in October.......started myself at the tender age of 15 and been at it ever since and always sober!! Woohooo!!! Unless you count those odd VodkaRedBulls I have on vacation ;)

This topic makes me feel old.

16 years... since I was 16. But back then it was gothic/industrial/alternative nights at this place called Tracks in Washington... then off to uni in Boston and more of the same.

Then techno hit in '90-91 (anyone remember Apotheosis, Quadrophonia, Lords of Acid, 2Unlimited? I just made a mix CD with some of those songs and nearly die laughing when I listen to it.)

All that said, the serious every-weekend-party-'til-dawn stuff only started when I moved overseas 8 yrs ago. The scary thing is I'm just getting more and more into it as time goes by...
