How is the ferry ride from Barcelona to Ibiza?

Hi All!

I will be coming to Ibiza coming in from Barcelona in August. I will be taking transmediterrania as my ship. How are the cabins? Do they have beds or what? What is it like because i never been on a ship before just like i never been to Ibiza so i cant wait.

tras have two types of ship on that run. the super fast catamaran which takes only 4 hours - hence it doesn't have cabins. it has a aircraft style seating but with much more space plus you can walk around and go to the bar.

the other ships are more like cruise liners with bars, restaurants, a cinema, a swimming poll, gym, a disco (far better than pacha imo) and a special cabin with kennels for dogs. plus on a daytime run you can sunbathe on the deck!

the cabins have 4 beds (two pull down), a toilet/shower, and a window with sea views.

I Just booked my ferry ride and its through Trans, how do i know if it is the fast ship or not? unfortunately the only one available is the 4 berth cabin in which me and my friend have to share with 2 other people with no toilet. U think that it will be filled up by the time i get on it? Hope not cause i really dont like to share with strangers?

why don't you have a look at the tras website for the date and time you are travelling? it will tell you the type of ship.
 
then you're on the super ferry. with pool cinema etc. leaving bcn at 23.00 arrive ibiza 11.15
