Hotels in Newcastle city centre

Me and macdonsj are planning on heading to Newcastle for a weekend in April to see Steve Lawler, does anyone know of any reasonably priced hotels that are within walking distance of the shops and Foundation?? I've stayed at the Royal Station hotel before but it seems to be quite pricey now and it's not worth the money! Thanks in advance for any help!

There's a travel lodge across the street from Sterio, just round the corner from Foundation.

You can stay anywhere central, it's not far from the Quayside at all.
 
The Waterside, right in the middle of quayside, walking distance to shops, Stereo and Foundation, nice rooms, only about £70per room.
 
Malmaison is few mins walk from Foundation.

It's about £120 for a room. I know it's not the cheapest, but if you're coming down to Newcastle the extra £50 is worth it.

Or just stay at Puppylover's house...
 
Get yerself to Whitley Bay.... multiple B&B's for £20 a night a person plus Saturday afternoon strippers at Bar Rio and a £10 taxi to Shindig: 8)
 
Glasgow-Chick I was down in Oct and stayed at the Premier Lodge on the Quayside if you're looking for something cheap n cheery! Rooms were fine and not badly sized, plus right on the waters edge facing the classy Tuxedo Princess ;) Seriously though, it was perfect for an overnight, glad we chose it :P

I stayed there in October too :!:

Its a ok hotel but was just about to undergo a refurb so should be nicer now. Tip: if you stay here avoid the breakfast. Go round the corner to Bar 38 where you can get a nicer breakfast at half the cost ;)

Shindig at Foundation is great but be sure to go round to Stereo on Sunday evening for Hed Kandi if you like that sort of thing. Get there early cuase it gets rammed.

Oh, think I may need to go back soon. Love the place and the people are really friendly.....
