happy new year folks, flights booked for late sept ,have always stayed Hotel Garbi but going with wife a 6 year old and a 1year old not too sure about PDB for kids ,but would like hotel near enough to ibiza town that has kids will enjoy, any one have any advice greatly appreciated thanks

I was going to ask the same question.

In October 2019 I booked a room in a hotel in San An for June 2020 at a decent price. I checked the prices several times during the following weeks, and the prices (for June 2020) seemed to remain at the same level throughout autumn. Sadly, the trip got cancelled because of rona.

When I booked the exact same type of room at the same hotel for June 2021 just a week ago (late December 2020), the price was 50 percent higher than the year before. I thought perhaps prices would have dropped, or at least stayed at the same low-ish level as before.

What am I missing?

They're trying to recoup lost '20 revenue in '21. Plus lots of people have vouchers from last year

Yes you are right they are super expensive....some people may not be able to afford to go at those prices

I just rebooked from May - June was going to change my dates with booked reservation but asking for an extra 200 euro so I cancelled it and rebooked it for 162 euros, first trip solo 2 nights (fingers crossed)
 
But plane tickets have become much cheaper. My flight in June 2020 with KLM was cancelled, and I got a 360 euro voucher. When I booked almost the exact same flight this year it only cost 240 euros. Now I've got 120 euros left on my voucher for a future trip.

Something is not adding up. Either plane tickets will rise or hotel prices will drop. I suspect there wil be lots of cheap rooms in San An in May and early June.

I am lucky as I booked a room when it was cheap and I still have that booking, the same room on the same dates is now £1600, my booking is £950

Sorry, I’ve given the wrong info there, £1600 is for a different board. For the same room, dates and board the best price I can find is £1250. So £300 higher than a month ago.

@SimpleNed Torre del mar is terrific. It’s right at the end of PDB before you get to Fig. Boat to Ibiza town leaves right outside the hotel, as does the bus. There are kids clubs and sports facilities as well as three pools, one of which is indoor. The two Sirenis next door are both excellent too. I think they were getting a refurb last year. Hope you are able to travel then. Hope we all are!

I walked by hotel many times great location didn’t know had kids club ! Super thanks for advice I’ll check out availability now . I hope/ thought by September things would be ok fir flights and holiday once have a vaccine very or negative test result ?
