The Six Senses hotel (previously rumoured to open in Cala Gracio) should be ready by 2020 and will be located near the Portinatx tower, what used to be Vista Bahia... Not only they're revamping the whole building but also making it bigger and getting very close to the sea!

The destruction of paradise, as J.L. Ferrer says in his book, has reached the north too... o_O... o_O ... o_O...

the major of san juan is super happy with the arrival of the new xarraca bay by six senses!

according to the local tv TEF, apart from piscis park (from 2** to 4**), there's at least 25-30 hotels and hostals in san antonio under renovations this winter... some of them to upgrade their category, no doubt!

Abrat was pushing 180 Euros a night when I looked at booking late in August after they refurbished the rooms last year. The sea view rooms are nice but it's not worth that imho !
the Abrat, one of the classic hotels in the area, is undergoing a change that will raise its level from three to four stars, projecting a modern, fresh and youthful image that adapts to the tourism that always has filled its rooms.

Hi,

Looking to book a week May 2018 for a B&B.

After looking around a few websites and a lot of hotels are not yet showing availability or prices for 2018

or

They have ridiculously high prices

Sadly all seems to be the latter. I'm going in late May for IMS and probably staying on again for a week but prices just keep going up and up.

Although there are decent offers to be found (for nice places in good areas), both on Booking.com for hotels and apartments elsewhere.

Playa Sol Group are doing a Black Friday 15% off deal for all 2018 hotel & apartment bookings today with the code BLACKFRIDAY18

I stayed when it was the plain old Jabeque in 2004 and 2005. Great location (just along from Es Vive hotel) and the view from the sea-view rooms is good. The recent refurbishment looks nice, as I had a nosey when I was staying at Es Vive last year.

Also, I've booked the Playa Sol MyTivoli in PDB for 4 nights during IMS and with that Black Friday discount, it works out as 216 euro in total (room only), so less than £50 a night, which is pretty good!

Perfect for IMS anyway, before I stay in Dalt Vila for a week with my husband.

Just booked the heaven apartments in Pdb for August. Never seen it before and looks to be off the main drag. Nice to be sorted so soon. Now thinking about an openings weekend quick visit over May half term. Could really do with knowing if solomun is sticking with Sunday’s as Mrs LBS will be wanting to hear him again.

So for next year i booked at Amistat as it was really good this year, everything was brand new and it was such a great place to meet people etc. I booked a deluxe room and for some reason it was only €600 for 14 nights, but you can't pay until you get there when you book through their website... The price has since gone up to €2000 for that and then sold out. How likely is it that i'll turn up and they won't honour it, even though i have confirmation?

If you have confirmation number you be ok..
We got a deluxe room in cala vadella a couple of years ago for €400 ,the receptionist couldn't believe it and never even questioned it..

Yeh, if this place is an honest business they will honour your booking, it's not unusual in Spain. I was staying nearby in October, noticed it for the first time, bit of an odd place? Would I be correct in thinking it's marketed towards USA clients?

It's a proper hostel (The only one in Ibiza) with dorms etc but has normal hotel rooms too. The room i have booked is ridiculously nice and is as nice as most around £3k for two weeks in August.

They have lots of activities in the day from cooking classes, fifa tournaments to trips to formentera etc. Then at night time drinking games, although i didn't manage to get involved with any of these as i was busy with the guys i was with. It's very much aimed at getting everyone socialising, workers will come around and chat to you as if they are regular visitors, it has a very good vibe. It's main market this year was your traveller doing a europe wide visit. I met a few Canadians there, the odd Aussie and American, although that could all change once word starts getting out, everyone i met loved it.
