surprising that...........i thought the ruskies would be hard enough to handle spicy stuff.

whats flavour of the month in moscow, morb?
It's true... I've had many an occasion when a waitress warns me "careful. that dish is spicy" which tends to send me into hysterical laughter (right before I ask them to make it spicier)

Sushi is still the flavor of the millenium in Moskva. It's the fashion that won't go away. Still more sushi restaurants (or other restaurants with a sushi menu on the side) opening on a daily basis. I've now got about 15 sushi-serving establishments within a 10 minute walk of my apartment (no exaggeration!)

My father lived in England many years ago, he liked a lot a hot curry but everytime he went to an indian, waiters used to advice him about how hot it was, the thing is that my father didn't use to find it hot enough. So some years ago he went back to England as a tourist and he went back to his favourite indian restaurant and he asked he wanted his curry very very hot, the waiter advice him that it was very hot, that the curry itself was extra hot, my father remembered the hot standard of before so he insisted a lot, my father though, well is not my hot standard so increased it. So when their brougth him the curry to the table he saw that all waiters and cook stood in a little group staring at him, speacking and laughing. So he put the curry is his mouth and sudently he felt how he turned red and his mouth just electrified. But could not put up with the idea of the waiter telling him: I told you , so He ate it all and he had his mouth electrified all afternoon     hot standard in that restaurant had changed. Believe me, my father knows what is hot, he eats jalapeño peppers rigth from the plant as if they were sweets. This is one of our family stories.
