I saw about five minutes of it and it made me so angry I turned it off

Why? We're you disappointed with the organisation? Lack of commitment or calibre of fighters?

I mean, they weren't even carrying weapons.

And all them pansies called that fighting, eh Kang!?

In all seriousness, the program was shameful. Bottom line editing, and they must have searched REAL hard to get the footage they did. The fact there wasn't (in all fairness) much of it, just shows how little they had to go on.

The atmosphere out there, whilst Yes, rowdy, was very good natured, and yes, the chanting seem's bit out of place watching it at home (and there were LOADS of embarassing English on that show), but you really did get the worse of the worst on that show. The desperation of the producers was tangible IMO.

Let's face it, it was bottom of the barrel TV. Reporter gets assigend to go to Germany to get footage of British Hooligans, and make it out that it was all full of rowdy Britds wanting to beat the cr4p out of anyone else.

It simply wasn't the case though.

Why so upset, Dan? Did they show you in one of the fight scenes?

No. I'm a lover not a fighter.

Got a cracking terrace singing voice though.

I did think I caught a glimpse of my back in Frankfurt Square, though I couldn't tell for sure. I did recognoise a few peeps out there though.

Actually I think you may have a point.

...but I still think that ugly tw*t who was shouting, "C'MON! WE ARE EN-GUR-LUUUND!" looked a bit of a fool. Is that supposed to mean something I don't know about?

Any TV programme that exposes people shouting the word 'paki' as unacceptable is a good one representative or not.

That explains it. When we were at Space, I thought I heard someone belting out.... oh, wait... you mean THAT terrace...

Yeah, I 100% agree on a Wednesday night, and I don't want to go into specifics of what I did and didn't find aceptable, but it's all 25-35 year old males surrounded by other 25-35 year olds males, in Germany, following our football team, a lot of stuff you get onto seems ludicrous over here, though it was just kind of going with the flow out there, as it were.

Get those  faces at the ready when I say that, apart from the length of the whole 11 verses, being surrounded by x thousand England fans and singing the 10 German Bombers song at the very stretch of the top of your lungs, is one of my greatest moments that will stay with me for the rest of my life!

Saw it and thought it was hilarious that Huddersfields youth were blamed at one point, the lads who were featured must have loved seing themselves on TV:lol:

Whilst there wasnt any proper fighting, I think the program was worthwhile, if only to embarras those twats on national tv.

What was more worrying than anything was the fact you had dad's with kids on their shoulders chanting those silly songs. If the parents are getting involved what chance do the kids have?

I guess the program just highlighted the problems with society today with the yob culture thing.

Worst bit was the poor brazilian who was simply having a dance in the middle of the street and was chased then down the road!

I don't think they will be embarrassed about seeing themselves on TV, quite the opposite!

Off topic here... But did anyone see those chavs on the roundabout with the motorbike

F*ck me that's a great point!

Exactly.

Look at the end of the day, supporting a football team is not generally the most logical or reasonable of pasttimes. Like shouting "Come on In-gur-lund" etc. I mean, at 9 o clock at night, where's the logic or reasoning behind it?

Look at supporting a team like Spurs. Love 'em to pieces, but I hate pretty much every decision their management makes (though perhaps not recently), I know they own't beat certain teams, though you still shout outhat they're the best team in the world.

Going back, I'm not trying to ecuse it, but you're tanked up, everyone else is doing it, and it feels like fun. I stress aswell, that I'm  too at the paki chants and some of bottle throwing at police etc, though from moving about an innocuous chant for Stevie G, and some clown moves on to the Paki one, (I restrained but) it's hard to not go on with the flow. You just don't think about it. Then 5 weeks later, some crafty editing makes it look like everyone was doing it.
