Croydon and Bromley share a border.

For the record, I live in Bromley.

I call it "Just South of South London". Or "London" to people from the provinces, or "Kent" to people from London. We are a London borough, though we have a BR postcode.

I've been bantering with this guy since Friday btw and he's sent me some more classic soundbytes:

If you look at history you will see every nation has invaded,occupied and fought for land.Every nation has performed brutal acts at some point.I find it funny that people try to single out Britain as being the big bad white man.Read about the Egyptians,the Mongols,The Ottoman empire,The Romans,The Aztecs,Chinese dynasties,Imperial Japan,The Vikings,African tribes are still fighting each other.

British people have been enslaved and attacked by other nations.We don'tnow go to Denmark or Rome demanding to be given rewards for the cruelties of history.

You will also find that Britain exported democracy,medication,technology,built schools,built churches,united countries with the English language which were otherwise divided.So in fact I am proud of the Empire.

*As for your tower hamlets,If I wanted to be outnumbered by foreigners I would go live in Africa or Asia.I'm sure the families of the London bombing victims appreciate multi-Culturalism,Or the women on CrimeWatch every week reliving their horror of being raped by an Algerian or man of north African appearance appreciate diversity.

You said yourself you like to see people of different nationalities.Culture is not an illusion.It's a shared way of life and we want to keep our way of life and traditions..
