Hiring Cars In Ibiza

Dull question for a Friday night I know but then I am still at work.

Six of us going in September and thinking of hiring transport for the week to actually see some of the island that isn't PdB. Realistically we're looking at some uber uncool MPV thing to fit us all in. Does anyone have any suggestions on hire companies from experience? Also I'm thinking of hiring before we go out otherwise we'll just get wasted and no one will want to book.

Answers on a postcard.

Hi. We always use the company advertised on the main spotlight site called Moto Luis, never had any problems and the staff are very nice.

Please be carefull on this if you are under 25 they have massive exccess's to pay if you so much as even scratch the car.

Could be anything up to £1000

Alot of companies insure you on there cars Third Party (only) so if you damage their car you could have a more expensive holiday than you think paying for all damages to the car.

Even if you are over the age of 25 its still worth asking the questions and one really good question to ask is.

What type of insurance am I covered by / Fully Comp / Third party etc ??????

What is the Exccess if I have an accident ?

Can I take out any extra insurance ? <----- Very worthwhile if you can take this out (It hardly costs anything) & it could save you a S**tload of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ if you have an accident.

ASK ALL THESE QUESTIONS FIRST BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING !!!

I've used Hispacar.com last year and they set me up with a car from Centauro rent-a-car at a very good rate.

They also had 100% insurance coverage so there was no "excess" (or "deductible", as we call it in the States)

Year before last, I booked through Carjet.com. They set me up with Hiper rent-a-car and also with no excess (and I put a ding on each corner of the car that year )

If for some reason you don't get one of these deals, then it's worth the extra 4€ per day for the full insurance.

aye.

and judging by the nick of cars in ibiza its crucial!

(every car you look at with few exceptions has some form of ding)
