hiper car rental- open at 2:00 am

I have booked a car through mondial autos. But I will be picking up my car from hiper car.

Since I arrive at 2:00 am they ( mondial autos) told me I will have to come back to the airport in the morning to collect my car adn that the office would not open until 8:00 am This is the message I got from mondial (I tried emailing hiper car but never beard back from them)

I have always arrived in the afternoon in Ibiza, so I have never run into this problem before.

Now, on another thread I wrote a couple of weeks ago, many people said that these car places are open at the airport all night long... and that I could pick up my car at that time.

Is hiper car open all night long? Do you think I could just go over to the car hire place and get the car then anyway? It would technically be the same day as i'm supposed to be picking it early in the morning anyway.

Since I will be arriving at 1:15 am, and for only the first 2 nights on the island I will be staying in San an ( then moving over to PDB for the rest of it) it will be a bit of a pain to take a taxi all the way over to San an, to then get a bus back to the airport the next morning to collect my car.

Also, and this may be a bit of a dumb question. When I booked with mondial autos, they didn't require any deposit, like any of the other car hire places that I've booked with before. They did sent me a confirmation #, but am just wondering how they guarantee a car when I haven't given them any kind of deposit.. I don't want to end up there with no car!

if they said you will need to pick it up in the morning, then you probably will

if you didnt have to pay a deposit i would cancel the booking and go with a company that does have a desk with someone there

Ok, just wondering if hiper car actually is open at this time.

it makes no sense to have to come back and pick it up 7 hours later if someone is actually sitting there.

Every single other place is sold out now, so this is my only option.
 
I booked with hiper and got this.... I'm collecting at 2am on 27th August.

Ibiza Airport (IBZ)
You will be met in the airport terminal at the meeting point where a representative from HIPER RENT A CAR will be waiting. The representative will be wearing a yellow shirt. You will then be taken by shuttle bus to collect their vehicle from our supplier's depot.

For collections between 22:00 HRS and 08:00 HRS there is an additional charge of 25 EUR + VAT to pay on arrival (if the rental is for 7 days or more there is no late arrivals charge).

Did you book directly with hipercar? or did you book with another supplier who gets their cars from hiper?

I didn't even get that option!

many of the rentalcarcompanies/agencies never ever answer emails !

better make a telephone call .

... and you are fine with the reservationnumber on your confirmation,
thats enough, nobody needs a deposit nowadays, thats like a million
years ago, like travellercheques :-)
the last 3 years i rented cars at ibiza ca. 15 times (only one company
wanted a deposit) everything worked perfect !

I booked with economy car hire via travelsupermarket.com

Are you booked for under 7 days? maybe they are trying to avoid the 25 euro surcharge? or maybe nobody is gonna meet me at 2am :?

I booked with hiper-car last year and they did close at 12.. There was a balls up with my credit card on their part and they would'nt let me use one of their pc's to transfer money into another account to pay for it so i got a cab into ibiza town to do it! All this was at 11 so i only had an hour to do all this before it shut!!:evil: I can only describe them as shambolic! But i suppose we've all had a nightmare like that! Times and efficiency may be different now but bare it in mind mate;)
 
I've booked with hipercar several times, both through a 3rd party and direct. We usually arrive at about 2am, and as the info above says, there will be someone waiting for you with a little bus to take you over to the rental place. Have you given your flight number?
 
agreed with the above poster, have just got back from ibiza yesterday and used hipercar, was picked up by the yellow minibus outside the aiport at 2.30am when i arrived and taken to the depot across from the airport to pick up my car

I emailed mondial autos directly because they are the ones I booked with... when I mentioned I arrived at 2:00 am, t hey said "Sorry, the office does not open until 8:00 am'

Even though it says to pick up the car at hipercar... who never returned my email.

Do you have an email for them? Aside from the 'please leave your question here' box.. that was the only one I found on their website.
 
I got a copy and paste answer from economy car hire which stated this.. im still not convinced :

Thanks for that!! I don't know why mondial told me I can't do this... especially since others seem to have managed to do it.

and I was just reading over the email, a nd it says clearly at the bottom that it is open 24 hours... bla!! I don't know why they are saying I can't.
