Cos we're quite a small office I do telephone interview for new recruits sometimes.

Anyway, just did one from a guy at durham uni which was pretty terrible.

At the end though, he asked me for a drink so I told him to call the office if he was about in Oxford

What a weird thing to do!

i think you must have got the whole interview thing wrong- you're supposed to ask him questions not talk about yourself for 15 minutes
maybe he's been checking you out on the net and knows what you look like or something? very funny though

I had a telephone friendship with a client for about 2 years, in that I thought he was probably the funniest person, with the driest sense of humour. He came up to visit the office up here and we decided that after the meeting he was in he would pop up to my office and we would go for a coffee.... possibly the longest 30 mins of my life - it was like pulling teeth trying to get a conversation out of him....Be Warned.....

Of course its its not teeth you are trying pull, nor interested in having a conversation - then the warning doesnt apply
