Highlights & Lowlights of a first timer

Highlights:

- watching the sunset from cafe mambo while the DJ played the original cafe del mar by energy 52 - sent shivvers up my spine.
- Amnesia......became my favourite club. Best sound, best layout, best atmosphere. acha was great too.
- Cocoon - Best night by far. Richie Hawtin and Paco Osuna were unbelievable and i'm not even a techno fan!
- Cala Yondal, Es figeural, s'illot des renclis and agua blanca.......the most beautiful beaches i visited on the island.
- Hiring a car and seeing the real character and beauty of the island.
- Formentera
- Bora bora
- La Communidad. The only 'locally' promoted night i checked out and it went off.
- Atmosphere and vibe of the place.
- The port area of Ibza town. So much to see and do. Great vibe.
- Sunbathing and swimming nude.

Lowlights:

- Bus service. Very confusing and grossly inadequate.
- Playa d 'en bossa beach. Terrible beach.
- Absurd price of drinks in clubs
- The number of people with designer mullets, particularly women. They looked shit in the 80's and still look shit now. Very unattractive look and very cliched.
- Space terrace. Very overrated in my opinion.
- The ratio of guys to girls in clubs. Most nights were a sausage fest.

i'm afraid our bus service and most other services are stretched to the limit in the summer months - everybody wants to descend on the island at the same time. unfortunately and economically it is impossible to have hundreds of busses sitting around doing nothing for 9 months of the year.

unless of course you are willing to pay as an exhorbitant price for transportation as you are entry to a club and drinks therein.
 
Why not force the clubs to pay a levy to subsidise the extra buses required at peak times between 6pm and midnight.

Solutions are there.....they just need to be thought through.
 
They played the original 3 in 1 mix of Cafe Del Mar at Sunset?! OMG. That's a bit too peak time. lol. Michael Woods (i think) remixed it and chilled it out big style... Or Rabbit in the Moon or someone like that.

Probably because they would sting you for it when you paid for your ticket!

I'm pretty confident the 3 in 1 mix would never get played at Cafe Del Mar.

There is an original mix by Energy 52, on Eye Q records (circa 93?), which is utterly amazing, and will be the one that got played, cos I heard it there last week.

And yes, it was spine-tingling to say the least! 8)
