Cala Mastella!

La Masia d'en Sort on the Santa Gertrudis road

La Cornucopia in Santa Gertrudis

Will have more in my review whenever I finish it :)

I had the seafood palleya at The restaruant D'Hort on Cale D'Hort. It was very good and loaded with seafood. Ahh Es Vedra in the distance, the jellyfish stings on my body and scratches from Atlantis, it was quite the recharge I needed. Es Boldodao up the way was good but the prices were steep.

Es Cuco was a great place to get all your butcher needs.

Good call. D'Hort often gets overshadowed by Es Boldado but I think their food is quite good (and, as noted, not quite as expensive!)

Now theres a good place next to the Chuch in San Antonio, but the Rincon whatsit which was near the Egg/fountain park is gone, when did it go? Why? Thats was a good place. You can tell i don't spend a lot of time in San Anonio.

In Eivissa port is Sa Peixet (the little fish) great tapas and raciones - not so hidden but good value, and cool for people watching, met a well known actor by accident there i 2007 who joined me for that purpsoe and we had a great laugh - typical random ibiza thing.

Yemanja (next to Blue Marlin) is sort of hidden, and does fantastic paellas etc, plus its a lot cheaper than BM, so it probably owned by the same people who cares, its good, and you can go into BM if theres anything there to take your fancy.

For much cheapness and quality the Fusion place on the front in figueretas is no. 1 - you cannot go wrong.

Yes, cornucopia is good.

For gayest waiters go the the place over the road next to the sea. Better ambience tho.

Why was Can Den Parra so empty this year? They were doing great food.

The only pl;ace Ive been to a felt 'never again' is Cafe Mambo - a pile of overpriced poo - but what do you expect

El Rincon de Pepe? It's still there. On a sidestreet in the West End - Calle Sant Mateu.
We tried it out for the first time this past trip and had some good inexpensive tapas.

Good call on Yemanja, I found myself returning there more than once.

On that same note on Cale Jundal, the place inbetween the Blue Marlin and the Tropicana was a good spot to lay, eat and drink all day without spending much money. The drink prices are very cheap and the food very decent.

Yes thats it El Rincon de Pepe, well I wonder what i did wrong when i went looking for it, probably got the wrong sidestreet. Silly me!

Probably the best meat I've ever had on the island was at the Es Mirador a few nights ago. I had the mixed grill and every bit of it was spot on. The people I ate with also thought their meals were fantastic.
Unfortunately this was the closing night for this year but they will be reopening next year.

Just before you get into San José from San Antonio

Ooh. Thanks for that! Good news.
Driven by it a hundred times on the way to/from the west coast via San Jose and wondered what it was like. Looks like they'd have an amazing view from there as well.

cas pages in santa eulalia (I think!)

On the road between Sa. Eulalia and San Carlos - before the roundabout.

Went there last Monday and it was heaving - not a chair to be had never mind a table. Arrived about 9.00pm and had to wait about 30 minutes but was well worth the wait - Four of us really enjoyed drinks, pan y allioli, salad, rabbit, lamb shoulder and a couple of decent bottles of wine all for 140 euros.

Can't wait to return next May/June - bear in mind you cannot reserve a table and cash only - no credit cards.

tony you're absolutely right about cas pages - fantastic place! have also to go back again there next time i hit the island!
