I have a quick question for anyone who's been to Ibiza!

Where is it possible to go to watch the sun set behind Es Vedra? I have seen pictures, and it looks like some people are on a cliff? Does anybody know someplace high up we can go to see this sunset, and to get amazing pictures of Es Vedra? It looks too cool!

Any help with this would be great!

Just head to Cala D'Hort - you'll get a good view from there.

Or you can go on boat trips round the base of the rock at sunset time.

If you do a search then you'll find a few other posts on this subject ;)

Thanks for the info! Is Cala d'Hort on a ledge at all, or is that a ground's-eye view? Can you climb any cliffs near there....someplace me and some mates can go with a bottle of wine and just watch the awesome sunset from up high?

I don't know how to get there, cos I usually get into my friend's car and let him drive me around the island (I'm such a laydeeeee  )

But there's a post somewhere about how to get there, will look for it

Thanks Sylvia :D If you ever come across proper directions, will you please let me know....The link that you gave me has very vague directions, and for someone who will be on the island for the first time this summer, I will probably get very lost! If you ever find specifics....that would be AWESOME! Thanks again! It would be such a pleasure to see that place in person!

It's not joints fault, it's due a lack of orientation (¿?)

 how long have you been stuck in there for? shall we send you a rescue team?

roll another joint Sil!

Thanks everybody for your input.....I have yet to see McRackin on here, so hopefully he reads this thread and can lend a helping hand! I have noticed that McRackin likes to make trivia difficult, so hard to say if I'll ever get directions! However, if anyone reads this post and knows how to get to the place of the picture that Sylvia posted (overlooking Es Vedra at sunset), will you PLEASE get in contact with me! Thanks guys!

I'm going to take a stab in the dark here, but if you buy a miraculous piece of colorful paper known as a M.A.P. (often, the hotels will even give you one for free!) you should be able to find your way to Cala d'Hort. From there, as airline pilots say, switch to "visual rules" and you'll find your way to that cliff. Shouldn't be hard! ;)
