Help please - El Divino.

Any of the El Div nights will have vocal house. Or try F*ck Me I'm Famous @ Pacha on Thursdays, Matinee @ Space on Saturdays and We Love Space on Sundays.

Yer I know that's what ibiza's about for a lot of people, I actually love ibiza in some ways for that as I see far less drunken fights and people throwing up in the streets like you do in places like Faliraki and I find people on drugs often a lot easier to deal with than pissed up people, I just think drugs are a bit more evident in the day parties like we love and circo so I tend to stick to the evening do's. I don't wana sounds patronising to anyone at all but I just grew out of the drugs thing a long while ago now so a few cocktails and a stop off for some food to soak up the alcohol on the way home is more my cuppa nowadays :)

They are only more evident in the day parties because it is light and you can tell who has been 'on it' all night. There is just as much substance abuse happening at night IMO

I was more thinking that in the day parties people will be there for longer (day and then into the evening) so by the time the likes of me get there in the evening there are more people worse for wear than if the club doesn't open till 12, but then I'm sure some people take drugs all the time anyway in the day or in pre-bars, I take your point, having said all that it doesn't really bother me as I'm not "anti-drugs" its just for those that wouldn't appreciate seeing them then I personally feel theres more chance of noticing it as a problem in the day parties, I have a few friends that wouldn't appreciate dancing right next to a dealer with a hand full of pills dealing in full view in space as I found myself this year. That's why I'd just advise people who really want to avoid that sort of thing to perhaps leave out space and DC10 from their agenda.

I agree completely...I had the unique and very special (clubbing) moments ad Day Parties...especially @DC10 and partly @Space...:p
there was an authentic "Ibizia" atmosphere there...and not just "pop"...;):spank:

I'm not anti drugs either- not one bit, but I can't be ****ed with people pushing them in my face all the time. If I wanted them I'd go looking for them.

The way I used to see the daytime parties was like this: The up all night E crowd would enter Space/DC10 when it opened in the morning and leave around 1-2pm for bed. Then the fresher people who had had a reasonably quiet night the night before would come in around mid - late afternoon staying till late evening.

Not a lot of people can stay up for days on end in high temperatures without a trip to A&E!
 
There were plenty of spaced out people in Il Divino when I went in June.

To be honest, that doesn't bother me. What did bother me was how packed it was - getting a drink or going to the loo could only be described as a mission.

It's not a club I'd go back to.

I'd have thought so mate, but there have been rumours going around for years about it's future. There was always talk about them knocking down the pier it sits on, and now this.

Not my favourite but would be a shame to see it go.

Theres been rumours for a few years now about the El Div pier getting knocked down to make way for a new shipping route just like there were rumours about DC10 being demolished to make way for a new runway- and nothing ever came of that.

Maybe the owners are selling to a really good offer?
 
I bet the reduction in numbers is a welcome change in August, especially with radio one being there at the mo, I hope the sun stays shining for y'all out there now!
