Hed Kandi V Defected

I love defected but I did hed kandi last year, I have always been a hed kandi fan and Tara Mcdonald singing she was great and the whole decoration of the club for hed kandi looked really good. I had a quality night wez clarke was great and i only stopped dancing just to go the toilet. The crowd was great I would not say hed kandi night is chavy at all if thats what your worried about thats more clubland!!! I would say the hed kandi crowd was the most dressed up night where everyone made more of an effort girls all glammed up and I came home with a free goodie bag t.shirt, keyrings, cd, stickers which the hed kandi ticket seller put it on the back of the tickets as we were such hed kandi fans..... it really was a top night. Defected can get really busy but not as bad as Guetta or SHM and Es Paradis is a big club so there is always room to move and dance. If you are going for 2 weeks just do both :D
 
don't expect hed kandi to be anywhere near as commercial as their CD releases. at the start of the night it's deep/funky house and as the night goes on it gets more disco and a bit more mainroom but it's still not commercial at all.

in fact, last year, i heard ben santiago play a record that then got played at cocoon on the terrace the following monday. (track was 123 yeah by willie graff and tucillo).

defected is still probably a bit more serious, simply because of the size of the guests they have. once again, the party itself is a lot more underground sounding house music than you'd expect given their compilation releases.

what dates are you there blondie?
 
Was all jetset on going to HK a few hours after landing... but then just saw that JUNIOR JACK & KID CREME are playing at Defected on July 30 so will defo be heading to Pacha for that :D :D :D

see you dancing and thrill me are 2 of my fave house tracks so happy and uplifting! Good memories

Thanks Grego think we will go to hed Kandi. We are going Aug 10th - 17th Can't wait!!!8)
 
Hi chaps...just to put my 20 euroes in!

I went to Hed Kandi closing and was blown away by the night The thing is Es Paradis is a stunning club and a lot more lighter than most.

The fact they have Lovelly Laura (live Sax) made it for me. The fusion of live musicians and the DJs playing commercial but funky uplifting house was genius. A few chavs invited themselves but not many events in Ibiza get away without 1 or 2 there.

I've not been to Defected so can't comment but just wanted to tell all about my expereinces of Hed Kandi.
