Hed Kandi - El Divino

The dress code was no different to anywhere else really, we went there last Saturday and really enjoyed ourselves.

They say no shorts but its fine. I went on the 14th and left after an hour, got there about 2 and it was so packed you couldnt move, took 20 mts to get served and paid 54 euros for two vodka and redbulls, worst night in ibiza for me

Yes - the men in there were casual to smart, girls tended to be smart as per everywhere.

Just wanted to agree with the above warning though regarding how packed out this night was. I have previously been in September, but also went on Sat 21st July, cos my man fancied going basically. Even in mid-September, the club was rammed and hot with long queues at the bar and for the toilets (however, I managed to have a good time anyway, perhaps because I was inebriated, and this was why we went back). Unfortunately, this situation was only worse last week - it was even hotter if possible and we could barely move inside let alone dance. When I tried to move through the dancefloor to get back to my boyfriend, I had people rudely pushing and shoving me back simply because I was gingerly trying to pick my way through the crowd. My boyfriend came over ill on the dancefloor and we had to spend the majority of the time on the terrace, which was also rammed and has no music. By about 5am it had thinned out and we were able to have a bit of a dance, but overall, not a good night. Add to this that it is very expensive and on this occasion, the music was very average. We heard better music in Hush the previous night.

I just thought I'd pass this on to you because really, I thought that the night was an expensive let-down. The main point is that they should limit ticket sales so that the club doesn't become over-full.

Smart trainers/Converse, jeans, T-shirt.

That's what we wore, anyway.

Also, as for what it was like on the 21st... I was there that night and I didn't think it was too bad. It was spacious compared to Cream.:?

Wear something shiney!

One of my fav nights out in Ibiza is Hed Kandi. Always packed but I've always found some space to shake it hehe 8) :spank: atmosphere i've always found to be great

People were complaining of how ridiculously full it was last year and now this year it seems.

Surely the promoters must notice this and have some kind of door / ticket policy to deal with it? It doesnt make good business sense to over-fill  :x

How does it not make good business sense?:?

If they've been doing it for 2 years with no drop in people coming, it makes perfect business sense.

More People = More money.

i think ill give this nite a miss if it's too crowded i cant be dealing with an overcrowded club at ball, as well as that if something terrible happened like a fire and the place was overcrowded i shudder to think what might happen.8O

Hm, I was at Cream too and, while I agree that it was packed, I was able to find a spot in which I could both move and breathe, in contrast to El Divino. Guess it just varies between people on the night.

Yes, thoughts like that did occur to me whilst I was on holiday actually. And then there's just simple practicalities like not being able to get to the loo in a hurry if you need to. However, I can see from your sig that you're not going till September - things will have calmed down a little then, even at Hed Kandi (albeit it will still be full).

I went to cream on the following thursday and it was packed but no where near as packed as hed kandi, you could actually move and dance at cream but hed kandi you had to push your way through to get anywhere, the que for the ladys toilets went all the way down the stairs behind that bar

It may have been because we were slap bang in the middle of the floor while Ferry Corsten, Above and Beyond and Eddie Haliwell were playing. Could hardly breathe.

Where as at El divino we were towards the back near the Sax player and while it was busy It wasn't any bussyer than a saturday night in Southend.
