No not the event being sold out... but the organisers... this year i went to the opener and i have to say considering last years rave reviews i was utterly dissappointed.
The DJ's that they got in did not appear to be anyway near the caliber nor quality that they had last year, the music they played did not appear to me to be the music renowned to be the funk that 'Hed Kandi' is and as for the people... well the most pretentious, arrogant and well i don't want to dimminsh myself by saying it... but tw@ts
okay rant over. i didn't leave that early but by 4-5 is i was getting seriously upset with one of what i had planned to be, my best nights.
everyone there was only interested in the money that was floating around the place, it was all about who could show off the most. this is not a rant because i'm not as affluant, nor my wallet as well endowed as others... but because i was there for the music, the spectacle, the wagging my ass around and staring at gorgeous girls.
instead i faced 75 year old men plucking the 16 year old girls that i wouldn't touch on a bad day in barstaple. flashing there cash around like no tommorrow and so when i tried to even look at the distinctly average crowed i was faced with looks of arrogant disgust.
a crowd that seemed to only know how to side step around a hand bag to what was even more distinctly average music.
biggest let down of the holliday... jesus.. the 'funky room' in eden on Judgement Sunday played more funky stuff than el davino did here..
one very annoyed
