Heatwave in Blighty! 36c 97f on Wednesday!

I was so tempted to pull a sicky today and go and sit in the sun all day. Im sorry I didnt know. It is dead here and nothing going on.
I reckon a good few people had the same idea and actually did it.

Just been home at lunchtime to look at flooring samples (tres interesting - NOT!) got in the car and the temp said 42, started driving (after having to put my gloves on (which are kept in the car) because I couldnt touch the steering wheel!!:oops: :oops: :lol: :lol:

Got home and the temp had dropped to 36, the dog is hiding under the kitchen table in the shade and poor Phil can have no windows nor doors open because the bloody dehumidifier is still running to dry the house out and he is sweating like one of Harold Shipman's patients in our house...... I think he's going to attempt to take his work out in the garden and sit under a shady tree...... still, at least I am off tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday so please keep hot til then - fingers crossed!!! 8) 8) The garden beckons...
