That's kind of a bummer. Good young actor.

Was/am quite looking forward to The Dark Knight.

Another life cut short by them there drugs (at least, according to AP). Winehouse looks like she's next in line, going by today's Sun...

booked a massage
masseuse came to the appointment
housekeeper found the body
pills found next to bed

big shame
especially for his kid

:(

I was actually really shocked when I heard this, my mum text me last night to tell me (she loves her films) and I turned over to Sky News and it was all over the news.

What a dreadful shock & horrible loss to his daughter

.... ahem....

Must admit, that spitting in the hand scene is forever engrained in my mind!

I went to see this with my mum - I didnt know where to look at this scene -but still enjoyed the film all the same, even if it was a little too long

Never watched Broke Back Mountain but seen Knights Tale and 10 Things I hate about you - so I quite enjoyed his light comedic films.....

The new batman film looks amazing - he looks like a very scary Joker...

Sad news tho...... :(

I thought he was hilarious in 10 things I hate about you.

Yeah - I think I even caught Phil laughing at "a chick flick" when he came in half way through - but i still rate Knight's Tale though - Paul Bettany and Mark Addy - brilliant (and I have a bit of a secret crush on Rufus Sewell )

I just remember the bit where he was singing to her on the stairs and he got arrested by the cops and slapped one of their a**es
Hilarious!

Shame. Thankfully he'd finished filming and post-production for the new Batman, so he'll have a fantastic swan song. He's supposed to be seriously good in it.

Got to be honest, I didn't have the foggiest who he was.....I now know he was an actor (fairly good one by all accounts) and I know any death is sad but in all fairness he was just another human being who lost his life, like many others around the world everyday, in far worse circumstances.

The media these day disgust me in the way the see celebs (whether dead or alive) as an icon for everybody rather than concentrating on real world affairs, I mean this guy wasn't going to change the world, he was going to make good movies (fictional ones at that).

It amazes me how so many people speak as if they knew him personally.

Sorry if it sounds heartless and I feel for all concerned but its my opinion.

Me and a colleague were talking about Amy Winehouses latest venture (thing on the sun newspaper) and he made a point of saying how even if something does happen to her she will still be treated like a legend so to speak, as in she will get more status if she did have some celebrity induced overdose

I'm not sure what you mean? Surely the difference is that he is famous, and he is recognised by millions of people. So it's newsworthy, as the news is appealing to many people.

I don't think he'll be treated any better than non-famous people. Surely it's the other way round? Did you not see the scrum outside his appartment by the pap? it was awful. So i disagree.

And if we follow your argument of what is newsworthy based on "real world affairs" i suppose that would mean not having any sport on the news either.

I mean, all those blokes kicking a ball around...how important is that to world events...

If what you mean is, "it doesn't interest you". Then don't watch it. Simple.
