there are mozzies but it's not bad right now. it hasn't rained since about forever and the situation will only get worse once we get rainfall.

We had one day of rain at the very end of June (apparently had been first proper rain in San since the previous September).

I remember that day, but it needs more to bring the mozzies back

Yep I was brought up the first eight or nine years of my life in a wet temperate area of Scotland (see if you can guess where) notorious with mozzies/midgies so I have a certain built in immunity.
