Having a hatred of house moment...

I tried to have fun to it but failed.

I can't help it.

PS - Hed Kandi is still sh!t tho. :p

(aaah I'm so glad he was reinstated!)

i saw a hed kandi cd the other day that said "Beware Imitations"....................sorry to be one the "back in the day" crowd but i did like some of the early Hed kandi productions.....

IMO, the original Beach House and Deeper were excellent

Agree wholeheartedly but the bit I'm getting annoyed about are all these sub genres that have come out of those bloody things.

I liked that original Beach House one too - was that the one with 'cried me a river' - all chilled and lovely?

yeah and music and wine is the first track on CD1 and summer love and i like sweeter love on cd 2...OMG.......i love this cd.

perfect.......errr.......house music for the beach:?

Hed Kandi used to be good but they've gone a bit MoS with their approach to mix CD's ie get as much out there as poss regardless of wether it's any good.

I have a couple of the stereo sushi ones and they were excellent.

maybe it's just cos funky house didnt' really get into the charts in those days :?

I'm waiting for trentmoller to have his first top 10 and we'll all go off sleazy tech house

thats exactly it, as soon as it goes into the charts, you know that it is past it's sell by date.

Even Vogue said Ibiza isn't as cool anymore. To me that is a good thing 8)

It's all about underground :)

I don't really think it's about whether it's charting or not, only that there don't seem to be as many great songs around as back then - 'cos vocal house is about songs, rather than tracks.

Everyone seems to be happier listening to ****e made with some loop from an already overplayed 80s track, using exactly the same format (loop vocal, filter in, use same bassline as last track, repeat). I find it physically painful listening to tosh like that, but then I hear "Precious Love", "Back Together", "To be in love", "Keep on rising" and I remember why I used to love that stuff :)

Of course it is, though I see it like I see the West End in Ibiza.

A) Just let them have 'their' fun. It's all people wanting to go an 'avit.

and

B) Just see it as a useful sink for all the types you want kept away fom your uber-cool do's in Shoreditch. ;)
