I've managed got a car thrown into our holiday for a few days, and convinced myself that i'm gonna see more of the island this time round. What places would you guys say is a must see, off the beaten track and all that.

Great question, that was the next one I was gonna ask! You can tell we're mates

Good on yer James!
I wouldn't contemplate goin there without wheels.
Cala Boix is a lovely secret beach which you would never find without a car. Also worth visiting are the hippy markets on Wednesdays & Saturdays

If you go to Portinaxt, the inland roads are very beautiful, last summer we stoped at Ses Arcades (on the road to Sant Joan) and we eat a very good fish.

Don't forget your camera ;)

gó to the hippie markets (read more in sightseeing area) - drive up north to Bénirras beach to enjoy the sunsets, se cala Moli and the amazing es vedra rocks and basically "get lost" in ibiza

Great stuff, thanks for the tips guys.

Always meant to explore Ibiza before but never manged to, will definately be checking out these places, especially Es Vedra, it looks amazing.

Looking to do more of an all round holiday this year instead of clubbing till i drop and then clubbing some more. Can't wait to find nice little resturants, beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets away from the usual Judge Jules, Cream, trance crew (no offense to anyone on here if you like that sort of stuff, just not my cup of tea).

Hey Jamie, last time I saw Es Vedra was 3 years ago - we were at the beach adjacent (can't remember what it's called - anyone??)...

Anyway, I decided it didn't look that far and decided to try and paddle over on a lilo. Half way there I decided it was much further away than I thought and started paddling back... Next thing I know my hand is burning like mad and I look over the edge of the lilo and see LOADS of jellyfish - EVERYWHERE! So I had to sit on this lilo for about 15 minutes while I waited for the tide to take me back to the beach, with a bright red, stinging hand!

Sarah thought it was amusing....

The people at the restaurant were great, they covered my hand in cream to stop the stinging.

Yes, I know.... I'm a big girls blouse

Over the years I have seen thousands of the little blighters on every beach - or more correctly in the water - varying in size from a couple of inches to about six inches. I am told the best thing is to pick them up at the top center as the stings are on the traling bits and throw them on the rocks but I prefer a kiddies net. Caught over five hundred one afternoon on one beach.
Don't worry too much, you probably won't see them unless you really look

They usually prefer being very close to shore - the water is warmer

If you are worried about jellyfish the best thing to do when you get to any beach in Ibiza or mainland Spain is to see how many spaniards are in the water....if there are none you can probably count on there being jellyfish on the shoreline.....

Another top tip if there are jellyfish is to go in the water where there are loads of kids....they are usually all competing to find the jellyfish and are usually pretty good at fetching them out of the water with there nets...
