Has anyone worked in the caribbean?

or anywhere else abroad? I've applied for jobs in Grand Cayman and Trinidad and Tobago and I've just heard that they want to see me for an interview! Bonza! 8)

It sounds too good to be true (so it probably is!) but there's a good ex-pat community there and the moneys tax free. If I get one of them, I'll be off for a couple of years. :D

Has anyone else had experience working abroad, would you recommend it etc. It'll only be little old me going, but that doesn't phase me too much. I think it would be a fantastic experience. Any thoughts??

Cheers ;)

Hey!

My friend has just come back from working in Bermuda for a number of years (although might have been Barbados :? )

She earned shed loads as a IT/English teacher in a college out there and she has come home absolutely skint!

Her wages, although excellent, hardly kept her whilst she was out there.

Costs for extortionate, for example

1 Apple - £1
Our equivalent of going out for happy hour pizza and a carafe of wine = £80-£90

Other than the expense of living/working out there she loved it!

:? thats a bit worrying. I'll have to eat dust to survive! Thats madness.

Did she regret it tho as an experience. I don't really mind coming back skint if I have a wicked time there.
