Has anyone ever flown out for Space closing ONLY?

im kinda hoping to do this for space and dc10....

finding flights is proving difficult but my new credit card says i must :twisted:
 
Not having much luck with these flights *pah*

All I keep getting is 7 night holiday flights. :(

Any websites out there that let you choose dates you go (cheap)?

Just e-mailed friend to see who they are flying with from Bristol, I'll keep you posted ;) They're actually flying Friday night so get there early hours of Saturday morning but might give you an idea.
 
Don't mean to be the voice of doom but I think you're going to find it tricky. You're probably going to have to go with a scheduled flight if you're not staying a week because most of the chartered flights only fly once a week. Are there any scheduled flights from Cardiff/Bristol to Ibiza? You might be better off trying Bimingham.
 
There's a Thomson flight from Doncaster-Sheffield flying out on 1st Oct, returning 4th Oct for £175 (including taxes)

..... not cheap, but it's only money.

I'd be prepared to spend that much maximum, but the long drive would probably end in tears on the way back. It'd probably start in tears come to think of it...

Still, promising news, it is possible to book a 3 or 4 day flight!! :P

Here is my 2'peneth worth.....

Did it 2 years ago and all ran swimmingly until we decided to go home....thought i would leave bags in car and drive direct from space to airport (at roughly 6am) after being in the club since about 12 lunchtime! Lets just say that our minds were not razor sharp at the time...

Dropped off mates at airport entrance - who proceeded to check "our" bags in on our behalf (with tickets in bags) - got to desk and had large disagreement with bloke who didn't beleive they were actually our bags - remembered we had left passports in car 8O - broke into car by dropping luggage trolley through back window - slashed open neck reaching into car :oops: - sprinted to plane - boarded plane covered in blood and sweating like a drug deranged rapist :roll:

Flew home in a piss poor state and then had to catch a commuter train into london with all the suits....

apart from that it was fine!

Hehe, Doncaster is about 15 miles from where I grew up, the nearest place of 'civilisation' is Sheffield. My sis actually flew out from there a few months ago and she said it's ok, it's one of those little airports so don't expect much in the line of duty free shopping, pre-flight fun etc but it gets you from a to b on the cheap ;)
 
MrMambo, for info, our friends are flying out on the nighttime of Friday 23rd Sept and returning morning of 26th Sept with www.thomsonflights.com from Bristol, they booked it about a month ago. Dunno if that helps at all.
 
Cheers Barbie, I may be booking it a bit too late cuz the same flight now costs £220 8O

I'm thinking about just going out for the week now to justify the money I'd spend..
