Ive been watching it too....very very funny.:D
I love us Brits abroad dont you?! :?

we couldn't believe it either - cringeworthy hits the nail on the head - and totally unfair to the resort. will the spanish tourist board NEVER get it when tv crews come over asking to film.

in benidorm spotlight, we reported on the initial announcement about how proud the town council were at having jonny vegas do a tv show - OH MY GAWD. did they never watch ibiza uncovered????

Really??

That makes it even funnier - but you have to admit in this programme it just rips the p*** mostly out of the "stereotypical" english tourist - I dont think it shows Benidorm in a bad light at all - just the English....

I've been enjoying Benidorm but forgot to watch last night's. 8O

It's a really good bit of Thursday night crap telly...do you know when the repeats are on Pups?

I have to agree, it is the people that are making it look a bit worse then it should, not the actual resort.

Old tanned granny is the funniest :)

Not sure Rob - I hit lucky on Wed night. I had missed the first one, taped the second one, watched that on Fri then on Wed I saw it advertised that they were doing the first two b2b in time for the third episode last night. Although I ended up taping that one as well to watch this evening so its all confusing to my little puppy head to be honest....

The problem is that the crowd says lots of the resort. If you have to choose between a resort full of silly monkeys and a resort full of people who more or less can behaviour, what would you choose?

But on the flip side - wherever you go - there will always be "silly monkeys" everyone has their own idea of what a silly monkey is - you will never ever go on a holiday and find that everyone is perfect and they fit your idea of the perfect holidaymaker.....

I certainly didnt make any assumptions about Benidorm from watching 2 episodes of a sit com..... in my eyes - its no worse than "Duty Free" from the 70's....

No, of course, there's silly monkeys everywhere but it's clear that in some places they are an exception and in some other they are the standar. And I didn't talk about perfect holidaymaker, I just talked about people who can behave in society, which unfortunatly it's not always what you find in lots of SPanish resorts

I think people always turn their nose up at Benidorm for whatever reason, I dont know, you cant reallly say unless you have been there I guess.

Duty free wasnt the 70s PL , it was 80s - for some reason I used to like it when I was a kid:oops:

I think I thought when I grow up I want to go on holidays were Im trying to have an affair behind my wifes back whihc will involve lots of hiding in wardrobes , it seems fun:D

PMSL at the thought of you (or any bloke really) running round sleazy hotels and hiding in wardrobes of posh birds whilst the husband is totally unaware but with your wife knowing exactly what's going on and trying to catch you out... :spank:

I love this show, very funny.
Like Pups says I don't think it puts the resort down, just draws attention to our behaviour abroad.
It's lighthearted fun, I think Ibiza uncovered was far more damaging.

i ain't seen it but the ever so clever sunday times panned it. but then they probably like jimmy carr??

"My sides were aching after I went to see comedian Jimmy Carr recently. Whilst walking out of the theatre half way through the show, I fell down the stairs and cracked two ribs."
