Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero has been arrested after an incident on an Air Lingus flight from Malaga to Dublin at the weekend.
The New York-based DJ/producer allegedly hit another passenger as he was disembarking the plane for a gig in Belfast on Friday night. Multi-Millionaire businessman and former owner of a major Irish tabloid newspaper, Gerry McGuinness, was rushed to hospital with a broken nose.
The assault apparently took place after some of Romero’s luggage fell from an overhead locker. The DJ was restrained by cabin staff, then handcuffed by the local police, arrested and held in custody until a court appearance the following day.
The court heard evidence of the alleged incident and he was granted bail of 15,000 euro and must wait in Lisburn until his next appearance in court later this week.
