Sorry I really do not see the attraction. I've never seen such an over-hyped, purely average performer charge her fans so much to see her live. I don't know how people can justify paying those kind of prices.
I mean, sure she's made a few good songs that everyone likes a dance to, but her voice is mediocre, her dancing is poor and she is just an average entertainer.

Sorry to those who are going to see her but I'd rather spend my money on something else! :roll:

(Oh and a mother of 47 or whatever she is should put her manky camel toe away - it's disgusting! 8O )

But you're missing the point. It's Madonna. You know, Madge. We grew up with this woman from Holiday and Borderline (classics!) to the crap she puts out now.

I'm going for the novelty of it... and because I've never seen her live and I'd like to once in my life. Most of her latest music isn't great. I'm sure she won't play too many oldies. Still, gotta do it once. And glad I'm getting a chance to :D

Ya ya ya. But you can't view Madonna as an artist. In that case, yes, you're right, she's generally mediocre in terms of talent (other than having picked some good producers and songs on occasion).

You have to view her in the context of a cultural phenomenon. Moreso for what she was in the 1980s and early 1990s than what she is now. Her emergence, together with the dawn of the music video age, dictated girls fashions for years. Later on, she took niche trends and sold them to the masses (Vogue, anyone?). Like it or not, she's pushed some boundaries over the years.

Not knocking it John, I quite like some of her stuff and i'm sure it will be an experience but i'd be a bit pissed off paying the prices that some of my friends paid to see her perform a handful of songs. Everyone i've spoken to that went to the Cardiff gig felt completely ripped off - poor show Madge

Ya, prices in the UK were a lot higher. I paid just 33 quid per ticket so I'm not so bothered. I will be upset if she doesn't play a few oldies though!

I agree that Madonna is nothing special and people must be mad to pay high ticket prices to see her.
