Is the only way I can describe what happened to me tonight 8O

I was an hour into my session (having already done my warming up, 40 mins cardio, and some weights), I decided to use the chest press. I can hear you all  ing, it works for me anyway!

I sat down and started my reps, stopped and looked at my legs 8O they were shaking away like a fookin pneumatic drill :!: I daren't have stood up as I suspect I may have had "jelly legs"
The effect was lessened when I crossed my legs-how often do you see someone sitting at the weights machine with their legs crossed :?:

Has anyone else had this or similar :?: (Its not the first time I've had it).

It happens to me every now and then after a grueling workout. The cause can be from a variety of things: adrenalin, blood rushes, muscle fatigue, low blood sugar, overtraining, or a combination of all. Is this your normal routine or did you take it above and beyond your normal workout? Try upping your carb intake 35-45 minutes before your workout. A combination of complex and simple carbs is ideal. A piece of fruit and oats/potatoes/rice for example is perfect. Try this and let me know how it goes...

i think the term is you went "lactic"???

I used to get this after weight training or a long stint of running. I've heard it referred to as momentary muscular failure.
As j_love01 said it's down to muscle fatigue and over training.
I would always eat some fruit like bananas, oranges before training and plenty of water during the workout. Seems to help.

some people...including me....get a sort of feeling as if your rushing or coming up after hitting a certain peak in their cardio training....caused by all the adrenaline and endorphines.....known as runners high!! its really nice! very surreal to be on a treadmill listening to my trance and almost coming up...must be funny to see my face

Sarah i think you do too much! :?

You go to then Gym every day dont you :?

Nah, I went Sat for 2 hours, did an hours walking on Sunday, Tuesday 2 hrs 20 mins, cycled approx 8 miles tonight, kick box tomorrow...thats just reminded me at kick box last week I went real light headed and dry mouthed - not had that before 8O :?:

I had some red bull approx 45 mins before I went to the gym, would this have exacerbated the condition :?:

The red bull probably caused a spike...with every up there is a down. Try complex carbs instead...whole grains and such. I prefer 70% complex carbs and 30% simple carbs before a workout. Throwing in some protein will also help.
