It's better that your digestive system isn't working too hard while training. You could get indigestion too.

If you'e going to eat fruit before the gym, stick to the lighter ones such as pears/apples etc.

My metabolism is very fast so feel hungry very quickly. I used to eat Ambrosia Cream Rice Pudding a couple of hours before training to keep me feeling full. A good mix of carbs/sugars and you'll burn the sugars off while training. Ideal for taking into work too and having on your break or even while working/surfing.
 
If you are trying to bulk up, it is inevitable that you will put on some weight in the wrong places. Look at big muscle marys, they always have a big tough bulky stomachs.

What you are suppose to do is train like you are, and eat as much as you have been eating, for 2 weeks, then for another 2 weeks, do more carido and eat less. In fact eat only the recommended amount of good fat. Then your body becomes tight and muscles appear bigger. I have know some body builders to take water retention tablets during this period. But that is not adviced. People's aims to have a better body aren't healthy and each persons bodies are different. It is really hard for men to bulk up and keep trim.

I'm actually not consciously eating any more than usual - just doing more weights than I ever have.

My aim isn't actually to bulk up at all - I don't want to be a muscle mary by any means. Urgh.

I just want a nice, healthy looking, easy to maintain, toned physique. I'm not doing too badly but I'm now realising that to get those final touches, you really have to work against yourself...this is achievable but impossible to maintain so I'm going to stop doing this now :arrow: :spank:.
 
Just reduce your fat intact then and more work on those abs.

Do proper stomach crunches, all the way baby and also leg lifts ( not sure of proper name) Remember when training do cardio one day and then weights the next. Muscles need to repair themselves, so they need a one day break, at least. For best results do upper body and then lower the next day, and then fit in cardio.

Just remember to post pictures of your results ;)

Its a double edged sword though, becuse within 5 minutes of stablishing my gender I gained a stalker so be warned!

I just read it and I know what you mean...poor Sirens - maybe Scoobie should welcome her in for the first month. Our approach is a bit strange and twisted isn't it? :?:lol:
