They lay quite heavy as they take some digesting.
It's better that your digestive system isn't working too hard while training. You could get indigestion too.
If you'e going to eat fruit before the gym, stick to the lighter ones such as pears/apples etc.
My metabolism is very fast so feel hungry very quickly. I used to eat Ambrosia Cream Rice Pudding a couple of hours before training to keep me feeling full. A good mix of carbs/sugars and you'll burn the sugars off while training. Ideal for taking into work too and having on your break or even while working/surfing.
