Guys Thread

I just started using Schick Quattro Titanium- a bit pricey, but they work real well- I have a heavy beard, and with these babies I can even skip a day (well, not a workday, but still). They also last longer than any blade I've ever used.
Now onto the deodorant/antiperspirant discussion...What keeps you dry and smelling like a clean mountain spring come August in Ibiza? (we can all bring extra to hand out to a certain element at DC10)

We don't have a huge choice out here as antiperspirant is not quite as widely used as it really really needs to be in Russia   Lots of guys will either go without or pile on the cologne. Gross.

I use Rexona Clear. I'm convinced it's the same formula as Sure in the West.

As far as razors go it's a Mach3 for me and I use King of Shaves shaving gel for sensitive skin (the stuff in a can, not the tube).
As for facial hair, I used to grow a goatee every winter to help protect my face from the elements when on my motorbike, but I haven't for the past couple of years as I'm going grey but my beard only seems to want to go grey on one side of my chin:?
I usually only shave once a week unless I'm going out or there's a specific reason for it, so I usually look a bit scruffy (not rugged!).

As for deoderants, I usually use Lynx- I'm not keen on the smell, but I can't stand deoderants that leave me with powdery stuff in my pits!!! That new Lynx Dry stuff makes my armpits itch like hell though:?

mach 3 razor! Sure roll on original de-oad the best even for the longest of sesh's!.... my further question is hair stuff? What do you use?... I use this stuff called chill that's really good! Good stuff and doesn't make you look like a cow's licked your head :-)

we're giving the girls a run for their money now!

I never had a beard till last October when I decided that I was just going to experiment with it. Hence, after one month of not shaving, I ended up growing a "Colorado Mountain Man Beard" .

I was going to shave it off after my monthly hair cut, but my hair stylist convinced me that instead of keeping the "Colorado Mountain Man Beard" I should just go to a traditional barber and just ask him to shave the beard in a way that would make me look my age (31).

So, after visiting a bunch of barbers and asking them if they use a straight razor, I finally found one who not only uses a straight razor but is also amazing with it. I was extremely delighted by the results, but what I found later was the ladeeeez luurve it:lol: .

Now I use a Mach 3 along with a Dovo Shavette razor. Yes, I shave "old skool style" with the shaving brush, etc.. I would highly recommend that if y'all have never had a real old school style shave that it is worth a try. The whole experience is really worth. Ladeeez, treat your man. I am quite positive they will love it.

For deodorant I use Old Spice high endurance (not sure I ever saw old spice in the UK when I lived there). It doesn't smell much but keeps me fresh and dry all day. For my hair gunk I use american crew, when my hair is short during the summer that is...

Ah, cool, a guy thread!

Shaving - Used a mach 3 for years, but, just switched to a Philips triple head rotary rechargeable (designed to rinse clean). First time I've used a rotary head and liking it, used to use a foil type about 20 years ago but never really got on with it. Had a trimmed beard right up til the grey started to appear  , then...........

Hair Gel - Haven't been using it lately, but, to spike up can't beat Tuftrix by Matrix. Only available from the hairdressers AFAIK. Expensive, but, a 150ml tube, with daily use, lasted over a year!! 8O Only use the size of a pea, hair never felt stiff unlike other products.

Smellies - Call me a cheapscate, but, good old Marks & Spencer's Woodspice is my daily weapon of choice. aftershave, body spray, anti-perspirant and shower gel for a tenner???

Occassionally I'll use Cerruti 1881 aftershave..........mmmmmmmmm niiiiiccccceeee! :p

Ooh err, did I give too much detail? Seems strange having a guy thread :?

I hate the powdery stuff too, which is why I use Rexona Clear... no white mess. There must be a similar version of Sure as it's the same manufacturer... check it out next time you're in Boots.

Wow excited about this thread. Been wondering this for a while since I still use the old faithfull Gillette Sensor Excel 2 blade. Does the best for my face. I actually think the other 3 blade razors are S**T. I tried them all (three blades that is) and felt extremely ripped off.

I am hoping they have a free trial day where I can go to the local drug store and swipe a couple stripes of hair with each differnt blade8O

Can anyone recommend a good post shaving after shave lotion that doesn't cost a fortune like Clinique or Clarins and is really good after you've shaved.
