Anyone on here drinking Green Tea as part of detox or weight loss??

Try the White Tea - its a lot more palatable and apparently even better for you than the Green Tea....

I have been on it for 2 weeks now and my weight loss seems to have speeded up somewhat.....

I went through a phase of drinking this for healthy reasons - how much are you meant to drink of it for it to be good for you? Best drunk in the morning things like that or is it all not that technical :)

I have tried Jasmine tea also (meant to speed up your metabolism) and also peppermint tea (good for your stomach I am told) as I suffer from IBS

4-5 cups a day will (allegedly) speed up your metabolism, make your skin clearer, alleviate bloating blah blah blah - I do find its helping though...

I cant drink it in the morning (the Green Tea) as it makes my mouth feel weird - however the White Tea is a lot more palatable.....

Oh really? That is interesting to know as I suffer bad with the whole bloating thing and my skin could do with a freshen up - hence why I am trying to drink so much water a day but it is hard.

I might try the white tea, thanks for the tip

I buy Jacksons Tea - that's the only white tea I can find...:? :?

Green tea is very good for you... its good to get the real stuff, there are so many green teas you can get which seem to come in teabags.. I don't like the taste of those ones. I got used to sipping on it all the time. don't know if it helped with any weight loss, but it is supposed to be good for you. It has more caffeine in it than regular tea so that probably speeds you up!

The ones I have bought are by Twinings and they are in teabags are they not good for you then? Or not as good? :?

Oooh really???? I know you can buy capsules and the tea leaves from Holland & Barrett but havent tried them yet

So would you recommend the tea leaves as opposed to the dried tea itself?

Earl Grey Green Tea is nice.

and deffo whats this? I drink decaffinated earl grey everyday and I love it, but if I could combine the two!! :D or are you taking the pee?

Clipper do lovely white and green teas.

I cant drink the Clipper Green Tea - I nearly puked driving to work last year. For some reason, it dried my mouth out really badly, then half way up the motorway I started to get that really horrid watery feeling you get in your mouth when you want to chuck - urgghhhh - its too strong for me I think....

Allegedly it helps - I find it does seem to aid weight loss/good skin tone/ etc

Its a "better" version of the green tea - but has a slight peachy taste which is far nicer than just "green" tea

Lol I took so long to reply!! I thought that would be what speeds up your metabolism, not good for you in the long run :? its a bit of a myth really. My fiance :D used to work for York Test which is a vitamin, healthy food type place and he was told that green tea is not good for you at all, its worse that coffee aparantly! 8O
