I'll see you at Durham Cathedral Boat Hire at 3.am tommorrow!

urghhh 3.00am - I think not young man.....

Actually never been up to Durham riverside since they knocked the ice rink down - I used to go up there for the Ice Hockey when Whitley Warriers used to play them.....

How you doing anyway? Godd Christmas and YY? Was santa good to you???:D

it would be absolutely fab to have you all up - best time is near the end of term when I can still get someone in my college to get me free punts so you don't have to pay the £40 or whatever it is to get one for a few hrs and it's just starting to get super sunny and the tourists aren't EVERYWHERE crowding the rivers and stuff

punts aren't scary and the land is a maximum of about 10m away, most of it's just little rivers with through cricket grounds, swans nesting and past a couple of colleges.

Just inland from me, only about ten minutes away, and you have lovely countryside. Braemar and Ballater are also lovely a bit further inland:D

If anyone is interested my fav places in Spain ;)

Formentera
Cabo de Gata - Andalucía
Granada - Andalucía
San Sebastián - País Basco
Finisterre - Galicia
Picos de Europa - Asturias

Is stunning, isn't it? THe legend says that San Sebastián, Firenze and Venice are the cities that causes Stendhal sindrome ;)

in some smaller towns of el pais vasco.......i think it can be slightly intimidating and you feel wrong to be there, especially when they speak euskera8O .

San Sebastián (donostia;) ) has a really warm and friendly atmosphere and people:D

It's true, it's really shocking to see posters in the streets reclaiming freedom for terrorists and all that, but people from there are charming, really down to earth and brave. :D
Euskera sounds like martian

For the last 2 years I've been camping for a week in Cornwall and Scotland respectively and each time we've come home early due to bad weather. If you could rely on the weather I'd probably hardly ever go abroad as Britain is such a beautiful place when the sun is out. Such a waste!
