contrary to what appeared in the press during the winter, jabeque was bought by ferré too and continues as a hotel
with his latest acquisitions (tur palas in p.d.b.; llevant and mira mola in es vive; riviera and sol bay 2 in san antonio bay) he now has more hotels than matutes.....

The expansion of the hotel group, Playa Sol, seems to know no boundaries
after the purchases of four more hotels were announced.
At the beginning of the year the hotel group,
headed by the Catalan businessman Fernando Ferré,
secured the Riviera Hotel in the bay of San Antonio.
This has been followed up with the purchase of the Tur Palas,
the Llevant, Mira Mola and the Sol Bay II apartments.
This makes the group the number one hotel provider on the island
with a total of ten thousand beds,
ten per cent of the total currently on offer in Ibiza.
The group, which was founded 20 years ago,
has been rapidly buying up properties of differing categories,
especially within the bay of San Antonio and Playa den Bossa.
At the time of publication the group owns 51 hotels/apartment complexes,
a number which looks certain to increase in the near future.

as far as i know, only the terrace was open and the club remained close. tonight jordi gaju (owner of lola's and angelo) was on the local tv on a debate about daytime clubbing and he said they had noise problems with the neighbors (not a big surprise..... during the winter soap was also open as an afterhours) so thats probably the reason why they had such a strange season ! !
btw, lola's reopens on october 26th with roger torres as resident and guests like jonathan tena/vikman/chris leza/pt-10/etc (for now only fridays and saturdays). needless to say, no more afterhours.....

according to the latest rumours the local will turn into a supermarketas you might remember, the attempts by space beach club s.a. to open a new club in ibiza town harbour in the late 90s failed. then they tried to open it in san antonio harbour, again with no success (they ended up renting the venue to the town hall to use as their offices). three years ago they tried it one more time in ibiza town but, once again, it failed so everybody thought that was it..... but today diario de ibiza reports that yesterday space beach club s.a. applied again to get the license to open a club in av. santa eulalia 15 (next to the burger king)
on a curious note, three years ago the tentative name was noche viva.....

from now on the belgian owner (patrick) is no longer involved and the german owner (josh), who has bought all the actions, will continue with km5
as you might remember, they have already announced the opening date for 2007 so the continuation as km5 is guaranteed for at least one more season. apparently they are asking 3.500.000€ for it.....

after only one or two parties as tam town it turns into the live music club blublue rose, which as you might remember closed its doors various weeks ago, turns into tam townminimal hospital with manu l+guests on june 30th (prior to their party at space on july 1st)apparently the old xaloc is no longer a striptease club.....
closed various weeks ago due to some illegal going-ons.....
