Good places to eat in San Antonio?

American diner on the way to the bay just before the one way system begins is good value. Bit out f the way but I always used to stop for a bite to eat when I was round that way

I tend to end up in Davids at least once. I don't particularly mind the pizzas too much.

Last visit was a bit bizarre though. Ordered my basic-ish meal deal pizza, it took ages to get my pizza and when they did bring it out it was the wrong one, the one they brought out had jamon serrano and other stuff all over it. I couldn't remember what I'd ordered so I just started tucking in to it anyway.

Anyway, it was obviously for someone else, and they came over to say once they'd realised their mistake, but I'd already ate half the thing. I said, well can't I just finish it now, theres no need to make me another pizza, but they insisted they had to take it back off me, bin it, and go and make me another one!

Won't be hurrying back.

Never been a fan of curry club food, overpriced for what it is. Service usually pretty slow too, even if its not that busy. They are nice in there though, and its a lovely setting to sit and have a meal in, especially if you've been sitting watching a sunset 'relaxing'. I always end up there as my mate loves it and will travel across the island specifically to eat there

Tijuana Tex Mex is decent, or at least was decent, not been in a while.

I like the sound of that tapas place between the bay and San an too. Hopefully will be back in September so going to try and visit

Every year ive been to ibiza never eaten out so ill have to deffos give them a try..this is first year ive been in june..most other years i been in august :). But ill try those places..anyplaces you lot recommend for hangovers? haha :p

I also hear limelight (new bar opposite zebra) has very good breakfasts.

Been in for drinks a good few times and an evening meal. Brilliant staff, lovely bar and great atmosphere. Also very cheap drinks and menu del dia is normally about 7euros

Forgot to mention Re-fuel, where Ritas cafe used to be. They do fresh fruit smoothies and really good fry ups.

Refuel is no more. Connor gave up the license at the end of last summer. Don't think anyone has taken it on yet that I know of!

I ate at David's once, never again, as I had a fever for 3 days and had to drop two DJ gigs!

Try Orange Corner, for lunch, Itaca sells decent grub too. Ravin Ruby at the top of the west end does a great curry too. Also The Highlander does nice pies, hot sarnies, great after a night out :)

did he how come?? gutted, them smoothies were well nice
Lot of hours needed to be out in. Think he had other opportunities instead with a better return. His chef who also used to do the early mornings moved back to the uk too with his family.

I love the Italian place David's. Very reasonable prices and the pizzas are amazing! 5 minutes from the sunset strip too. I eat there every visit to the island
yea would def recommend Davids ate there last year and it was really nice , will be making a point to go again when im back in 2015

David's
Curry Club
Tijuana
Sa Capella

Avoid:
Kasbah - used to be decent, but gone downhill. Tried it one last time last year and poor food at expensive prices.

Zebra - Shocking.

Must have been about 2000 when I first went and we went back nearly everyday to eat there. Next again year was still decent and then went downhill when Judge Jules bought it (does he still own it?) I have gone back for a meal most years to see if it had got the magic back, hit or a miss really. The last two years have been shocking though, very expensive for what you get.
