DJ Gee will be hier again these year in Bora Bora

he has confirmed he will not be playing several times already.

I'm alot More interested in the atmosphere, than the DJ.

Then why specifically ask about it :? :?:

I was asking mainly on behalf of people who post on here, I looked through the bora bora posts yesterday and the main issue seemed to be about this Gee guy, as I was asking for info, it didnt hurt to ask that question, I was hoping they'd say, say music, same policy, like I said, supergran could be DJing as long as she's good.

Maybe they've asked her to organise the entertainment too.

"Well, they all asked for this Gee fella by name and he said they only came as a duo"

 for what its worth tmelia, good on you for trying to find out from jet whats happening. Cue barage of critiscm...

personally i think we can take what Jet say with a pinch of salt, they'll not be wanting to lose the business after all, think alot of people stayed at Jet because of Bora Bora.

There are plenty of other beaches that are really nice around the island, but unless i'm mistaken Bora Bora was the one to go to for that party atmosphere, is a pity if its gone forever...

...as for the evolution of the island, did things not used to be a bit more relaxed in terms of licencing/policing etc? Its just that this is probably what allowed it to evolve so when roofs were put on clubs i.e.amnesia, there were still plenty of other things being overlooked to not make it such a big deal in the long term...to use an analogy and i f%^*ng hate analogies, its like expecting an animal to evolve but not letting it's genes mutate.

I suppose what i'm trying to say is, can there be any room for things to evolve with restrictions getting tighter and tighter? I may not have a right to say how a local council run things but shouldn't they be putting the safety of their tourists at the top of their lists instead of getting their knickers in a twist because a beach bar allows people to dance to music?

Pinch of salt comment is true, but it will keep me going till I get there!!, even if it is chill out music people will still dance, and people will be still go imo, :P

A good allegory is fair enough, but if I catch someone drawing a parallel, why I just get darn right crazy!

If there was more relaced policy I guess it's cos the tourism flux was lower, the more people the more control you need.

I'm not going to discuss this subject cos I did it hundred times before, but I think your last sentence is a bit simple.

things evolve here in the UK and our restrictions are far more stringent.

why is it simple Sylvia?

Cos it's not that authorities are not allowing people having fun, it's authorities closing a bar that has no licence. And if there's no licence there's no music.

It seems sometimes that people think that Ibiza is an anarchist republic where there's no laws and there's no policy

Finally, a reply to my mail to Gee:

Hi Buckley, hope you are well?

Yeah, I've been getting mails from all over the world and keep telling people I'm not going to be at Bora Bora this year, but every seems to think this might change. It won't - we are setting up in Brasil for the reasons I told you previously and the reality is I probably won't even visit Ibiza this summer.

It's that simple - the supply of olives is plentiful here in Brazil and we all know the farcical situation in Ibiza. Bora Bora in Brazil will be a fully functional 'Olive Bar' - we've even hired in Carol Drinkwater to as general manager and boy, does she know her olives. We've got a Bora Bora vetinerary clinic and Carol will putting her 'All Creatures Great and Small' experiences to good use there too. You know, olives have healing powers for animals.

Keep in touch - love to the current, Rachel and Pilchard.

Gee

So, there you have it :(
