Gods Kitchen Global Gathering!

barbie, last year at the global gathering. I take it you were mainly in the babooshka arena. Were you there for the final set of harry choo choo. I thought he was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. , but I personally have never seen him do a bad set. You might have even seen me. There was a group of us dressed as monks and nuns. Me and my other half didn't leave the babooshka tent all night, actually thats where we became each others half. So, I think it would be a bit rude if we didn't celebrate our anniversary there again.
Maybe godskitchen would give me a couple of free tickets if I told them it was our anniversary, what u think? :?

I spent up til midnight in the Godskitchen tent for Oakie, Tiesto etc, then at midnight we went to Babooshka tent for David Morales, Junior Sanchez and Harry Choo Choo, yay Harry was excellent, stayed there til the very last song, he finished with Keep your head up if I remember correctly.

I think I recall seeing some monks that night actually but probably thought my eyes were playing tricks on me :P ;)

The most memoral tune for me was the absolutely crazy mix he did of it just wont do. He was playing the track on both decks and just kept overlapping the verses it was mental. Thought the pink remix was a bit cheeky aswell. Worst moment for me was being dragged over to the gallery tent by my mate. Guy ornadel was playing and my friends asked me to take a picture of them. I wasn't very sober at the time and for some strange reason i took my wallet out of my pocket and placed it on the floor. Took the picture and went for an ice-cream. Only after ordering the ice-cream did i realise that not only did i not have any money, cash cards or wallet. I'd also lost my entire stash of little fellas.
Blub, blub.
But my then friend, now better half gathered my pals together and they kindly organised a donation. I felt like pudsy bear, all I needed was terry wogan and some drunk pub darts team dressed as the tellytubbies and my night would have been complete.
This year I will NOT be losing my wallet. I've yet to go to a festival this year. But I'm defo going to god kitchen and creamfields. So watch this space for future cock ups

Most memorable tune last GKGG was Tall Paul playing Solar Stone - Seven Cities (V-One Remix) in the Gallery tent at the end of his set... CRAZY!!!

Does anyone know if A Thistle Hotel Stratford upon Avon
Waterside, Stratford-upon-avon, Warwickshire, CV37 6BA is close to Godskitchen???

only i might book a night there, thanks :D

Lynch - not really. I've stayed at that hotel and it is slap bang in the middle of Stratford, the festival site is miles away.

We're not going this year coz of the traffic thing. Last year we sat in traffic for hours getting along the one small road leading to the site. Really put a bummer on the night. Getting out was just as horrendous. We got a coach from London and i think it took us nearly 6 hours, 4 of them getting the last 15 miles.

Had a spectacular night though. The GK tent rocked (Armin, Scott Project) had a right laugh in Sundissential. Saw Danny Rampling playing to two people and a dog, Atomic Jam was bustin' (Techno is cool). Mr Digweed was his usual quality self.

Have fun folks but just don't think i can put up with the traffic hell again.

Unless we all stay at Sparkle's???????????

TBH Lynch there isnt really anywhere. Stratford is going to be your nearest but then you will have to get to the airfield by bus, taxi etc so this really isnt going to ease the problem of traffic jams

I was told its about 5 miles from Stratford, that will be quite a nice walk if its hot.

i might just stay there and walk down in the morning :?
