i brought my tickets for this on friday!! anybody else going?
last year was the first time i went, we got back from ibiza on the wednesday, brought tickets and a tent on the thursday and drove down after work on the friday - and it was wicked.
 
im going this year. i get back from ibiza on the weds night then getting the train down on the friday morning. so think by the time its finished my head will be a bit ****ed
 
Whats the crack with the vip areas?

Does anyone think there is any value in that?

Its 155 quid for a weekend vip ticket with regular camping

vip camping which doesnt sound that great is 250, but having said that you get the oppurtunity to use a hot shower!! Nice!

Also the vip area platform, i suppose it would be ok for a bit just to see whats going on but i would rather be in the middle of the crowd.

I suppose its just a the option which would be cool.

Line up is massive!
 
i dont see the point of vip either, doesn't seem worth paying the extra to sit on the platform. i thought the showers were for everyone? i won't be using them, i don't think they stay too clean.
they aren't allowing people to take any alcohol onto the site this year?? they did last year though.

i get back from ibiza on the sunday before and will be driving down on the friday day. i didn't get there till late evening last year, does anybody know if the traffic and queues were bad in the day?

yeh they were abit of a nightmare, once we hit stratford it took us about an hour to get thro, best to get there early and then just chill in the carpark with a coolbox full of beers.

I had VIP a couple of years ago - it was good but I'm glad I didn't pay for it. It's best for having somewhere to actually sit down as the rest of the site is pretty devoid of seats. It was certainly good during the early part of the day when you just wanted to soak up the sun, but the main site is definitely much better.

Of course, in the VIP there's a VVIP for the DJs, but I didn't get access to that :cry: :lol:
 
I'm going to V too :D

I find the best thing to do is just bring some deodrant wipes and a hat, for V especially as it's 3 or 4 days long depending on what day you arrive.

GG is much shorter so you can get away with semi greasy hair by just tying it up ;)

What one are you going to?
Its my first year of camping, me and my friend were making mental "lists" at the weekend of everything we need and wipes did come up :lol:

I am definitely going with the hat and sunglasses combo!!! Covers any greasiness and tired eyes!
