Hello,

Anyone going to Global Gathering this year then? Or did anyone go last year? Thinking about getting some tickets for it.

:) :) :)

Get tickets!!! I went last year and it was ace! Only went on the Saturday but thinking of doing the weekend this year, very messy!!
Infront of the outdoor stage was covered in sand and people were dancing in bare feet just like Ibiza, it was fantastic!

im also going straight after my 10 bays in ibiza. only going for the saturday but possibly friday aswell.

to the people who have been how long does it take to get to there from london cos ill b there 4 days before hand, and wots the best way of getting there?

You can either get train to Stratford and then they run shuttle buses from Stratford to the site (be warned it's in the middle of nowhere and you can't walk it from staion).

Or some coach companies run coaches from major UK cities to the site, best try www.godskitchen.com for any info on these.

Or drive.

we got a coach last year, it was by far the best idea. If you get the train the shuttle bus at 6am has a queue about 10 miles long - seriously. And it was bloody freezing at that point too. Luckily we only had to wait about 20 mins for our coach.

I'll be heading there again this year, it's the bedrock tent that keeps me coming back

it's just such a shame there are so many proper chavs 8O but at least they keep themselves to themselves in the hardhouse tent

I think we'll go again this year (depending on line-up) esp as there's no Homelands

I prefer driving up and then getting a hotel for the Sunday night and making more of a wkend of it.

do you have to book shuttle tickets months in advance or could you sort it all out a number of days befor the actuall event.

Do you mean the shuttle bus from the train station to the site?? If so, just get on shuttle bus when you arrive at Stratford train station, previous years it's been £2 fare.

If you're talking about booking a coach from city to actual site, best to book a few weeks in advance.

just another couple of questions. (might b a little silly)

ive been looking at maps of the train lines and is it easier to get to the venue travelling to birmingham and then catch another train to Stratford? or catch a train straight to stratford from london?

also

im planing on flying home on that sunday night to australia. do u think that there will be enough time to catch a train back to london and then another train to heatrow to make my flight home.
If so how long do u think it will take to get back to london?

The line-up is pretty good but it depends who they put on what day, last year the line-up on the Friday was was stronger than Saturdays which was quite weak imo :?

With two Ibiza trips planned, I wonder why ;)

That's bad timing... don't think I'll make it. I will get to one of the UK music festivals (be it dance or bands) someday!

i'll def be going. had a wicked time there last year and have a feeling this year will be better. this is the only thing that will keep me sane if, dare i say it i can't do ibiza this year. thought im not sure i agree with the comment about the beach arena being just like ibiza :? maybe the man made beech in san an!
