Thank god Miss Midlife 'persuaded' me that weren't going this year (in fact ever)...

I have however managed to get us to Portugal in August when there just happens to be a big music festival (Cure, Oasis etc)... :D :D :D

Glasto is the best fun to be had in the UK! It's fabulous fun rain or shine.
I was at the quagmire fests in 97-98...they were both wicked.

...although having said that, 2000 was 100% better because the weather was nice.

It completely pi$$es on all other festivals.

EVERYONE has to do it at least once before they die. 8)

V festivals always seem to get good weather. New Order last ever show* at Reading in 1994 was ok too.

*As it was at the time despite the millions since

Texted X-amount to see if he's got his water wings on and he reckons he has never seen anything like it!

Michael Eavis was on Radio 1 earlier playing down the weather
Apparently the John Peel stage & the Jazz World stage were on.............
....thats ok then

looks like several bands in early slots on the 2 main stages were just cancelled - meaning several albums not sold and their big break apparently gone

Aaaargh...I've just received a mad up to the minute glasto pic and have no idea how to put it up!
Can someone pm me an email addy so I can send it for them to post???

Poor bastards. Can you imagine some junkie hassling for a quid you in a pub in 20 years time:

"Fugoff I'll kill yer, yer me best mate you, give me a cuddle yer c*nt yer. Goan, giv us £1 towards some brown...."

And he would been living in luxury, maybe with you as a big fan, if it hadn't hammered down on Friday 24 June 2005!

Ain't fate a pisser!

"Some of the biggest names in the dance scene will be performing and there will be a "silent disco" in an effort to sidestep a noise curfew.

Instead of DJs blasting their sounds through speakers, thousands of revellers partying past midnight will be given wire-free headphones with volume controls that directly tune in to a stereo system."

How bizarre would that look!! You walk into the area - trollied and see everyone dancing away but with no music.... 8O

....actually I like the idea of that!

Apparently to be at T in the Park too

the headphones will have 2 channels - 1 dance tunes (new & classic) and i think the other channel is cheesy music (No. DJ for this)

Just think how bizzarre it will look with people dancing with headphones on and dancing to 2 different tunes???!?!?! :?
