Giving up patches

I've been hooked on patches for 8 years. At least one a day.

Anyone tried getting off them? I heard there's these little white sticks you can get and if you roll your own they're cheaper...
 
I know of a while plastic stick you can get to suck on - kind of imitates a cigarette but its not as strong. Only releases a lil of the stuff. Not sure about cost tho, and u prob have to buy the tablets to put in them quite often. ???
