Girlie thread

I think its high time we had another one of these seeing as i'm not due at work for another couple of hours!!!

Right here's a tricky one....... successful tanning of the hands and feet... is it possible?

At the moment I have white hands and brown arms...not such a good look!!!

The best way I find to do it is put some protector cream (or just vaseline or similar) on your hands and feet when you fake tan. Then at the end wipe the protector cream off and then just wipe any excess fake tan on your hands onto your hand/feet - this will give them a bit of colour but not too much so it looks obvious.

Hello btw  Just e-mailed you for clothes talk ;)

OOOHHHH YAY!!!

I so wanted a fake tan thread.

I am so tanned and lovely today even if I say so myself. Someone even commented me saying I looked really well and was I out in the sun at the weekend!!

Only tell tale signs are the white feet and hands yes and a teeny streaky bit on my arm but am hoping no one will notice (they are men after all :p )

My loveliness is down to a new No7 tinted moisturiser I picked up on Tues and the Cocoa Butter Bronze fake tanning cream. Can come across slightly orange but looks nice if you leave a day in between applying.

So do you mean, put the Vaseline on your hands/wrist area/ankle area and then just apply a light bit of fake tan?

i swear by loreal sublime bronze airbrush effect fake tan aerosol

they do two types - one for the face and one for the body. you dont have to rub it in its a dry spray just spray and go.

the two together are about £15 they are on offer in superdrug at the moment. but make sure you get the right one, it has to say "no rub in" as there is a simlar one which you do have to rub in.

use the face one on your hands and feet - put barrier cream on palms of hands, fingernails and toenails and mositurise knees and elbows first

its really good an you just top it up every day or so

remember to put a towel down otherwise you get tanned soles of the feet tho!!!

I was a bit dubious about the spray one for your face, I have visions of me trying to do it creatively and ending up proper streaky. But you literally just spray and its even?

I like the sound of that - I've never tried that one cos I've always thought Loreal were quite orange-y in the past - are they ok now??

Yeah I tried a Loreal one a few years ago one for your legs and it was really streaky but they are probably better now.

Might have to check this out. I dread to think how many fake tans I have used but if you say its on offer...................:p

just go easy with it at first its sooo easy its tempting to spray and spray and spray........

less is more!

you can even do your own back!

Do fake tans look natural??? When ever someone has shown me their fake tan, it look a bit iffy. I am too scared to tried it out :(

I am so tempted to go on a sunbed. I haven't had a tan in over 2 years 8O

I have to say it can look natural - if you get it right and dont overdo it. I found once the colour started with all these creams it was tempting to keep going on and and using it all the time but I did eventually end up with orangey bits.

What I find hard is your meant to use them for 5 days - the creams - but then when you get your ultimate colour so to speak I find it starts to rub off on towels or when you wash so kind of defeats the object :?

What do you do then, just start again?

I have 50 mins left at my sunbed shop but feel so bad when I come out I dont think I can use them.

Can I invade this thread.......Taffy whispers.......Iam sneakily dealing Johnsons Holiday skin to my macho bloke mates cause I get it cheap through work, but each and everyone of them is using it but has told me not to say anything to the other lads!!! LOL.

Its so funny I have them popping round my house one at a time to pick up their fake tan like dirty old men visiting a brothel!!!
