Garlands Presents
San Antonio’s Biggest Funky House night
WAR BABY
“You Gotta Fight For Your Right To Party”
Every Wednesday from June 22nd
Eden
Midnight – Early
Garlands Residents: Dave & Huey, Les Calvert, Jay Funk
Garlands return to Ibiza with a new theme and on a new day. After a stunning season last year with their Disco Hospital, Garlands returns to Eden with WAR BABY and a plan to kick some life into Wednesday nights in San Antonio.
With a military theme all season San Antonio will be awash with camouflage all Summer as the Garlands Disco Soldiers wage war on the beaches of Ibiza.
Now in their 5th summer, the Garlands dream team DJs Dave & Huey return with new residents Les Calvert and Jay Funk playing the best funky house on the island in the main room.
In the back room it’s the return of the classics with DJs from some of the UK’s finest clubs dropping in each week with a box of their favourite oldies.
Commenting on the theme DJ and Promoter Huey said “WAR BABY is about fighting apathy in Ibiza. There is a lot to shout about in San Antonio. The press might not think so, and your beard stroking trainspotting try-hards may not think so either, but who gives a toss about them anyway. If you’ve not come to Ibiza to have fun then you should’ve stayed on the plane. We want people who will fight for their right to party not moan about it. We had such an amazing year last year and with a new night and a really cheap admission this year promises to be even better.”
Catch the Garlands Disco soldiers out and about in Ibiza this summer and remember, when you’re packing for your hols bring some camouflage.
Garlands is waging war against:
6am finishes – high door prices – people who have “an easy one tonight” – club snobs – over-priced and over-hyped guest DJs – people who don’t make the effort – poster fines – delayed flights stealing your party time – early flights home stealing your sleeping time – having to catch taxis – the authorities who insist on turning down Kanya’s sound system – DJ sets that are journeys (just play a good tune before I have to catch my flight home) – people who shit themselves on GB (wear a nappy and stay home if you have to take it) – documentary makers – Ibiza bores – people who say don’t think it is as good as it used to be – moody DJs and promoters – anyone who came to Ibiza to chill out – clubs that take themselves too seriously
Dave & Huey’s Pre-Ibiza Tunes at Garlands:
Steve Mac – ‘Lovin You More’, Alex Gaudinio - ‘Lil Love’, Armand Van Helden – ‘In Your Eyes’, Chosen Few – ‘Street Spirit’, Carl Kennedy ‘Right Before My Eyes’, Sikk – ‘Washing Machine’, Porno – ‘Music Power’, Martin Solveig – ‘Everybody’, Aaron Smith – ‘Dancin’
