Has anybody else got this?
I've spent the better part of my friday nights there over the last 2 years, so I thought I'd better have a listen.
CD 1 is mixed by Tall Paul and is quality. Recorded live a few months ago, you can hear all the whooping and whistling (must remember to do the same at NDSM this sat). Good solid house tracks (Deux-Sun Rising, Steve Lawler - Electronic music) and a few more trancey-proggy ones at the end. Its definitely a warm up CD to Benni Benassi's
However Benni Benassi's CD is AWFUL
. (Probably why it wasnt a live recording like CD1) It really disapointed me to hear such a poor selection of tracks that to be honest, ive NEVER heard at Turnmills!!! (with a couple of exceptions like Alex Neri's Aurora)
The writting on the CD talks about the amazing 4am feeling you can experience at The Gallery, unfortunately CD 2 goes nowhere in trying to encapsulate it. It's dull, monotonous, and unless it grows on me incredibly in the next few weeks, it's going to the bin!! (CD 2 I mean, not Tall Paul's Mix)
