From the radio 1 website! What's with the party at Punta Es Moli on saturday?

Can't make it to Ibiza this year? Then tune in to Radio 1 and spend the Radio 1 Weekend with us live on the White Isle.

We will be broadcasting shows from Thursday - Sunday and taking over Radio 1 for the whole day on the Saturday which will feature a secret party and an extended Essential Mix from Amnesia.

Thursday 5th August
2100-2300 Annie Mac live from Cafe Mambo
2300-0100 Annie Nightingale live from Cafe Mambo

Friday 6th August
1800-2100 Pete Tong's Essential Selection Party (full details announced soon)

Saturday 7th August
0500-0700 The Blue Room live from Cafe Mambo
1300-1600 JK and Joel live from Cafe Mambo

1600-2300 Radio 1's White Island Party. 500 clubbers will get the chance to to register with us to win an exclusive ticket to this free party. The lucky winners will be bussed from San Antonio to a secret location to see Judge Jules + special guests play live.

2300-0000 Fergie's Essential Mix Warm Up Party live from backstage at Amnesia

0000-0500 Essential Mix live from Amnesia. In the main room will be Paul Oakenfold, Armin Van Burren, Eddie Halliwell and Fergie. Type Terrace will be Seb Fontaine, Jon Carter, Yousef and Nic Fanciulli

Sunday 8th August
0500-0700 The Blue Room live from Cafe Mambo
1300-1600 JK and Joel live from Cafe Mambo
1900-2100 Dance Anthems with Dave Pearce
2300-0100 Gilles Peterson + One World bring you highlights of Gilles Peterson and Carl Cox live from Space
 
WOW! Thats guna b superb, guna have to tune in on them few days! Shame its in august...im 2 months too early!!
 
thats not the full line up,......saturday evening still has seb fontaine and judge jules' shows coming live from punta es moli (Essential selection also live from punta es moli)

BOOOO!!! That sux that they're not going to play free at Punta Es Moli this year. That was one of my hilights in 2002!! What utter shite!!

its all staged at mambo's this year mate, bigger sponsorship deal kinda thing.

:idea: im still convinces pete's show may still come live from punta es moli,....some r suggesting its bk @ mambo but i think not as it attracts way to many and that was the reson they changed venue,....only time will tell

I'm not convinced mate. When it was at Mambo in previous years, it was never actually as busy as you would think, there was always room to dance or find a spot. I would LOVE it if the show was at Mambo for the Radio One weekend !
Punta Es Moli attracted too many undesirables.
 
yeah i would love to see it @ mambo to,..ive seen it @ punta es moli and loved it,...i just dont want it to be a ticket event where u can only win them via radio 1 etc,...like wot they seem to be doing for jules' and sebs show :(
 
A private party for 500 doesn't sound appealing at all aside from the DJs... why can't they broadcast Jules and Sebby's show live at a place like Mambo or Punta Es Moli... terrible terrible idea. I think this is a bad year for Radio 1 doing this and the whole schedule changes, etc.
 
what a realy bad idea trying to bus 500 clubbers to a secret location
in the middle of the afternoon in august.
plus if there is a party of you, do you all have to go online to get tickets,
and what if you dont all manage to get them this is total crap. :evil:
lets hope they sort something out that is easy for us all to attend !!! :D

This "secret party" thing sounds intriguing, but i agree i'd rather see Jules and Seb play at Punta es Moli. Was really looking forward to it!! :( Sooooo, maybe at CAfe Mambo they will do the shows?? Am i correct???

thats the rumours,...stay tuned on the essential selection im hoping they r gonna annouce more info soon
