Friday or saturday at Pacha

Greetings from Finland!

Going to ibiza for the first time (super excited!!) 30 aug - 3 sep. So of course I wanna visit Pacha. But which night is to prefer? Friday/saturday? Me myself are more a techno/trance girl but a couple of my friends are more into house.
 
Depends what you would prefer, you won't get trance in Pacha - techno would be more of a Sunday night. Not sure if you're there on a Sunday?

No, unfortunately not. Going home sunday. So, most house at pacha fri/sat then?
What club is the place to be if you want techno?

All the big club have at least one techno , tech house night a week !
If you are going to Pacha during the weekend you can go to
Amnesia on Monday , Wednesday , Friday or Saturday !
Dc10 Monday , Wednesday,
Privilege Tuesday , Friday

We land on ibiza wed evening, thinking about heading to dc10 after leaving the stuff att the hotel. Thursday we're going to amnesia, above & beyond is a must for me :)

that is one big reason yeah. I know some might say ´not the same target group´, but believe me, by now so many people have heard about elrow (even if they have no clue about what it is - a promoter friend of mine the other day heard ´oh DJ elrow is playing´ - says it all) or they have seen pictures or video of it, it currently is just one of those parties people ´have´ to do. and yeah, that has an impact on all other parties happening on the island on saturday night. keep in mind the last few years amnesia wasn´t a big player on saturday night and suddenly it´s their biggest night of the week - everyone will notice that.

add to that the fact that over in PdB, roughly 8k people go to ants (sometimes less than that, sometimes even more counting the whole day) on saturday and then they obviously try everything to channel their crowd to go and continue with black coffee next door.

that´s the two main reasons I´d say. but as previously stated, it´s not like pure pacha is empty - not at all. it currently just doesn´t get as packed as it used to do in the past few years. there is an old tradition about people going to pacha on saturday night but with above said novelties, the game has changed a fair bit on that night.
 
I went to pacha on the Saturday a few weeks ago and had a surrpisingly good time. It was ok busy but not rammed and really started to thin out after about 5am whereby you could get from one side to main floor to the other without anyone being in your way. I noticed that the long drinks were 3 Euro more expensive compared to the Sunday which was massively busy.

I'm not criticising at all here, ive never been but I can't ignore the hype. From the outside looking in its all about the visual, multi-coloured tikertape/ornaments/objects flying everywhere and the music takes second place. I have no plans on elrow night when im there and would like to go but am not prepared to spend the money to watch a fireworks show with a shit accompaning soundtrack.
Does the colour fest enhance the vibe or is the music just a sideshow??

Depends who's playing and what you like.

Went to Elrow at Space last year as it was Eats who was great, had an amazing night. Pretty sure we had Paco Osuna too.

I'm not into monotonous tech house which SOME of the Elrow regulars throw out.
